After a reasonably decent break, the team heads to Nurnberg for the first match of the second half. I'm feeling a little better about this match, though I think the deficit is too much to overcome over all. Time to talk about it....

The deficit is too much yes..but 2 or 3 straight wins...can suddenly change everything in no time!
After watching the winter cup..you could see all the squad expressing calm and feeling loose...who knows maybe they have truly agreed and decided they can lift this weight and they need to have a very cool head all through the way!
If and i am saying if we come out of Nuremberg with a win...things would take a drastic change for the positive,Id say we will win with 1:D

2 back to back wins accompanied by 1 draw..would be a nice opening streak for us eh??

Seems like Nordeveit and Stranzl both will be playing at Center-D & DM.Field , This means a few of our starters my be on the bench..such as marx, bradley and arango..as for arango i can really care less..:D

After Brouwer's injury, Havard will be playing as CB against his club from last season ... so let's hope he's gonna show the "match of his life".

Although we often suck in Nuremberg concerning results (even when we're the better team), there can be only 1 goal for Saturday: GO FOR THE 3 POINTS! And it's really high time after 5 defeats in a row before the winter break. We simply can't afford losing many games in this Rückrunde if we want to avoid relegation...

Unfortunately, I'm not that optimistic and expect a draw (at the best) in Nuremberg (which won't help us much ... since we need wins, hence).

    What did you smoke? :))

    Bonne nuit.

Brouwers' knee surgery will keep Marx in the squad, I think.

Havent started smoking yet ;)..but at this age being a gladbach fan...if we get the boot..i might as well start, i have a feeling MF will experiment with those guys..maybe not so much with bradley, but marx and arango might not see the type of play time the used to!

Brouwers is a huge blow. Playing two new-comers is sketchy, but it cant be any worse than the lineups we were seeing. Any news on the lineup other than CBs?

Torfabrik's guess:[LINEUP-4-5-1]Hanke, Idrissou, Reus, Marx, De Camargo, Bradley, Daems, Nordtveit, Stranzl, Levels, Heimeroth[/LINEUP-4-5-1]
    4-2-2-1-1, more detailed.
I agree. Brouwers would have played instead of Marx, Nordtveit in midfield.

That has already been the case last season, although we weren't in any danger of relegation and despite the fact that I made some kind of "advertisement" for our new subforum (btw, I wasn't the one who thought we needed it and still don't know why we got it) ... so I actually really don't care anymore. I tried keeping the board alive last season despite not having much time for posting in forums ... but now I've got even less time left (I don't regret it though, as bad results in football don't spoil my weekends as much as it had been the case during the last 5 years).

Do you remember what happened last season, when I even awaited the guys at the airport and then followed them to the hotel (just 3 km's away from my home, btw.)? I'm often a bad omen when attending away games ... so maybe I really shouldn't attend the match this time (especially, since I haven't bought any ticket(s) so far - in contrast to the last couples of BMG away games in Nuremberg, it won't be a problem getting one directly at the stadium gates on matchday on Saturday). My gf already complains that I still pay too much attention to soccer :) ... so I'll probably get "forced" to prefer a walk in nature during the match, since she knows that I'll return very mad from stadium in the case we should not win. :))
Maybe it's really a good omen staying at home this time and just getting the result later on (and watching the hightlights).

    Have a nice day.

Well now that u bring it up i have to say this much. This wasent really pointed at any specific person on this forum but dont forget the golden rule. You support as a fan or fight as player..not because of the good times and the riding high on victories..its actually about the ROUGH-TIMES..times like this that u hang in there and show your true love and passion for something.Fans that only show up here once in a while like mentally challenged social derelicts that thanks to the power of the internet w.out spending any $ or time to support their teams in any way... ..to just fill up their empty lives and associate themselves with a club, music band..certain groups so that they can have some topic to talk about and have something to show in public but only via cyber-space....might as well go back to living in their troll-like world!
Or fans that just jump on the bandwagon because a team is hot and has had a few good years on top of the table..are no different...they are clue-less and lack that true real conviction....so ya its about the DOWN not the HIGHs and to be there when it really matters!
    :D

Don't worry, those who are still posting here, know what it means to be a true supporter. ;)

Btw: Our fans are rarely 'bandwagon jumpers' and belong to the most faithful in Germany despite the lack of titles since the 70's. After the 3rd relegation, many will be hugely disappointed and probably stay away from stadium for a certain time ... nevertheless, they definitely won't lose their passion for the club! Many other Bundesliga clubs can only dream of having such a big supportership among the whole country...

    Now definitely "tschüss".

1-0 at half time, good start to the second half of the season. hopefully gladbach can hang on for the 3 points now, but i think a second goal is needed..

hello all by the way. i'm from cork city, but always had an interest in gladbach since hearing from my father about this game as a youngster:

    http://www.wsoccer.com/videos/dLd_NSP2_I0Sga/

He rated Netzer as the best player he has ever seen.

I have managed to get over for a couple of games a year for the last few years. plan to be at the schalke game in a few weeks hopefully..

    Hello and welcome:D

Its Nice to finally have more supporters on this board!

This is going to be a roller-coaster of a season tho..so you better come prepared:eek:

BTW talk about Heimeroth,Stellar to say the least...the PK he saved today may just turn out to be the most important PK of his carrier so far,This game wasent a final for us..but in so many ways even a draw wouldnt have been good enough...
