The Cougars are playing their way out of a playoff spot and basically are handing the final spot to either Monterrey or Philadelphia.

Baltimore Blast 16 Chicao Storm 9

The suddenly red-hot Blast continue their winning ways at home over the Storm. Look for another big lead early, followed by lots of clock killing at the end of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter when they go into the good ole' defensive shell.

Baltimore Blast 14 Orlando Sharks 8

Sorry Sharks fans, your actually facing somebody other then the terrible Cougars and the Jekyll and Hyde KiXX. Blast will be a little tired in this game after playing on Friday vs Chicago, but it's boy scout night so it will probably draw a decent crowd, which should be able to pull the Blast through to victory.

New Jersey Ironmen 13 Chicago Storm 12

New Jersey is a the fresh team, Chicago will be tired after playing a tough game in Baltimore on friday night and having to travel back to the Windy City on Saturday. Look for the Ironmen to pull out a close one.

Milwaukee Wave 28 California Cougars 4

This could be one of the worst games in a long time. After having to get thrashed by Monterrey on Thursday night in Mexico, the Cougars must make the trek to Wisconsin. Talk about a temperature change. Minus the bodies they are missing due to injuries, the travel, and the bone chilling february cold just getting to the warm arena, the Cougars will get trounced. They want no part of Wisconsin in February with a depleted roster and tired legs. Look for a rout.

Detroit Ignition 16 Philadelphia KiXX 6

The Ignition head to the Spectrum (if it is still standing the way things are looking) to beat up on the KiXX and further the mess in the 6-7-8 spots in the standings. At this rate it might be the first team to 12 wins gets the spot. Orlando would have to go 9-2 to get to 12 wins, and that's not happening, and they really would be stretching to get tiebreakers even at 12. So let the battle for spot #6 rage on. The KiXX have 8 wins, California has 7 and Monterrey has 6. They have 4 games between the 3 of them, so that guarantees at least 4 more victories in that group if they lose every game other then the ones against each other. I don't see all 3 teams losing for 3 months straight. One of them will steal a game here or there.

Milwaukee Wave 10 New Jersey Ironmen 4

Why in the bloody hell would you start a game at 4pm on Super Bowl Sunday? If the owners want to complain about something, it should be "even playing a game on Super Bowl Sunday is ASSININE". Seriously, this will be the lowest attended game of the entire season, unless they are giving out free beer, chicken wings and having a superbowl party after the game. Have I even mentioned that a team FROM NEW JERSEY IS IN SUPERBOWL? We need to have a guess the attendance prediction for this game, and I don't mean announced attendance. I mean walk around the arena and count the fans. You probably won't even need to take both of your shoes off to count all of them. This will be a "Florida Thundercats" attendance debacle where you could hear the officialls talking on the field or 1 guy yelling at somebody on the broadcast. If Tom Wynn is doing this game, I want him to count the fans in attendance and give us a number on monday. I would be shocked at anything over 500. If he counts 1,000 or above he is lying or Steve Ryan paid him to say otherwise.

    Winning team, score
    Monterrey 14-10,
    Storm 8-6,
    Blast 18-13,
    Storm 11 - 6,
    Wave 20 - 10,
    Ignition 17 - 15,
    Wave 16 - 11.

The Storm WILL do no worse than a split again next weekend, but I am going out on a limb picking them in both games because Ughy may be back and hopefully Richey will start both gams. Plus, the team has always bouced back after bad losses.

I think we are at a safe point to almost say that 3 of the playoffs teams are a given now, CHI, DET and MIL. It will be a nice battle between NJ, BAL, CAL, PHI and LA RAZA for the last 3 spots. Other than Orlando, I think this is exactly what "FRESH $$$" wanted when he did this 6 team playoff and it will still be a battle for the top 2 spots with those top 3 teams and probably BAL and NJ as well.
