Someone had to do it.. Also, please let this mean Pinoe will be playing today @mPinoe score a goal for the 👪 today!! @cmoscato4— Amanda Frisbie (@Frizzbie) July 2, 2014
Houston still riding the "can't catch an injury break" train. Ohale out now, too? I have no idea if Rapinoe is playing tonight. I hope if she's not 100%, that Harvey doesn't throw her out there. With the match being on turf and all that.
referee assignments for tonight have been posted on the Professional Referee Organization website. I thought Chavdarov was really good in an early season match (but I don't remember which one). Last week's match between KC and Portland was refereed by Josh Wilkens, who I also thought was good for the second match I've seen him in. (He wasn't perfect but I thought he did the right thing in not calling anything when Morgan went down between two players and stayed down. It reminded me of a play last year when she was given a yellow card by another ref whose name I don't remember. I thought she was going to get another one this time). And incidentally, Margaret Domka has been named to the referee staff for the U20s this summer. Never have I prayed for a weather delay than now. At least that will help stagger the games a bit. Three games starting at the same time is just too much. Kling have returned to the line up for Houston. That's good because Ohale is sick again.
I know, but that would have meant putting a less preferred person in her place. With Kling back, though they lose a stalwart in Ohale, at least they gain a very good player in Kling.
That's right. Thanks for reminding me. I thought the cards were largely deserved. It was a difficult match to referee and I think he did well.
Yeah the slow mo showed that was a goal for Western New York. Great slow motion of it. Great shot by Losada as well.
Have to give credit to Western New York. Not playing the long ball offense that I am used to seeing. They are keeping the ball on the ground and at the feet of the players.
And because the Flash are doing this, they are denying a lot of time on the ball for Seattle. Really good tactical play by the Flash.
Seattle has conceded the first goal in 5 of 6 all time matches against the Flash. They got the first goal in the first match, but gave up the first goal every other time.
