Re: Re: Week 10 Attendance thread Nice! I chose this week obviously for the first match@LA but also for the apparant double header for NE. Was seeing who'd pick up on it Saturday, June 7th Chicago at D.C. Re: Re: Re: Week 10 Attendance thread It's supposed to fluctuate between 24,000-27,000, where the extra 3,000 comes from, nobody really knows. It could be from opening up the grassy hill on the north side or maybe the amount of people in the luxury suites. I wish Doug Hamilton could at least do a little chat like Nick S. has done regarding the stadium. BTW, there'll definitely be 27,000, people who can't get season tickets, like myself, are dying to buy tickets for the opener.
Re: Re: Week 10 Attendance thread At this point, I think it is just GoDC. He posts the same simple one line troll-bait in every serious and not so serious attendance thread. It's tired. It's old. It's annoying. The first 283 times it was cute. He probably still wears izod sweaters and Members Only jackets.
Why is the Colorado/DC game getting such little attendance? Didn't Colorado have pretty high attendance figures last year?
at DC 14,500 at Columbus 17,500 at Kansas City 12,000 at Los Angeles 24,500 at New England 45,000 at Colorado 7,500
Overall for the season yes, and they did have some nice spikes for some games but they werent consistently high. And their season average is skewed by the July 4th match. Plus the game is on a Wednesday night.
> Isnt plate shifting doing that already? Most of San Jose (and the rest of the cities on the Peninsula) is on the east side of the fault which is staying still. In a few hundred thousand years, LA will be next to San Jose. I look forward to those matches, provided I live that long.
Re: Re: Week 10 Attendance thread So you're saying Columbus Crew Stadium will have its third-lowest attendance ever for an MLS league match that day? The only two games at CCS to draw less than that were last April against the Metros (gametime: 38 degrees and windy) and April 2000 against the Galaxy (~30 degrees and sleet).
I can't believe we're predicting attendance six months out now.... And the Metros will have their own stadium.
