Ugh! I should be killing this guy but my best batsman got out after only ten runs. Apparently he almost got a six but it was caught at the boundary.

Might be a long season in DIII for me...

Ugh! The BS board was being mean to me and told me that my post didn't work. Next thing I know I have the same thread started three times!

Mods, could you please delete my other two threads? Thanks...

Echo that - my bowling is horrendous which will be for a long season. Guy dropped 329 on me and I could only answer with 308 or something.

Norse at Borderliners + my all-arounder in bad form + Seargeant out for 2 runs = my ass kicked (or so I expect)

Wow, my bowlers saved my butt. I only managed 180 runs but held them to 170 for the win.

Oh what a catch! You won't see better this season. It looked a certain six but the lad plucked it out of the air at a full length dive!

COMMUNIST NAZI SARACEN PIG-DOG FASCIST HUGUENOT TRAITOR TO THE WORKING CLASS!

Was sorta hoping Crowe would last beyond Wicket 3.

My Mosquitos put up 345 in the first half. One of my best shows ever. My bowler should hold on to that lead but I'll find out when I get home.

Here is how my first match in III ended

In the last over, my opponent needed six runs to win.

First ball, dot ball (still 6 to win)
Second ball, one run (5 to win)
Third ball, one run (4 to win)
Fourth ball, Bowled him, a wicket (yeah!!)
    Fifth ball, dot ball
Sixth ball -- a four will win it for him, frantically hit refresh or F5 a thousand times in eight seconds

Dot ball and he finishes 3 runs short of my total and I win :)

Well, the ratings were closer than my match. I'm not sure if it was bad luck for my top order (proficient top order but only the 3rd with 52 topped 20 runs) or just how players suited the pitch. My fast bowler did a bit worse than I would have liked -- proficient/proficient and good form but only put up a 5+ economy rate, what's up with that?

Hmm... with them having two very good seamers (NTer Dickson and candidate Tandy), I wonder if I should try to get my pitch either hard-and-fast or dusty against Borderliners for the turnaround match? My spinners aren't great, but they usually do decently well and I do have two of them. Er, actually, I just pulled a third this past weekend, but his stamina, batting, and fielding are all worthless.

    excellent!

    why the yellow card?

    End of Over 39: 210-3, runrate=5.38, reqrunrate=9.73 (316-4)
    Ferrell 10-0-60-0
    Spearitt* 101 (103 balls)
    Gardner 9 (14 balls)

that is my match. No way i can hit 10 runs an over to win this one. Good showing against the #2 team from last season, on a slow pitch (very high scores for this). Interested to see the ratings for this one. Maiden Century for Spearitt!

Disappointing though the poor showing might be, there's only one squad besides Borderliners that's clearly ahead of mine - Saint Barth Blondes. Shadoedale has a better middle order, everyone else posted comparable ratings or worse.

Apparently I won by "8 wickets", whatever that means.

It means you reached your opponent't total after only losing two wickets (two outs) meaning you had 8 wickets (outs) left.

Beat up on Voodoo Child (last season's #3 in II.3) 325/3 to 250/10 at his place.
