That CONCACAF U20 Best XI article is interesting. I don't know quite what to think of it or whether it's encouraging or discouraging, but it feels significant somehow.
I think it's encouraging. We are and have pretty much always have been a nation of immigrants, so we'll always miss out on some players. But it's reached the point where we have so much talent, it's inevitable. The good thing, though, is that it will make CONCACAF even better, which will press the US and Mexico, increasing our likelihood of actually taking home the big prize.
Tyler Adams move to Leeds is complete. That's a nice $8 million on top of the original $3 million for the Metrostars.
But I mean is it really? As far as I can understand it, these secondary sell-on windfalls aren't converted into GAM; all they can use it for is their academy/run the team/etc, and since the fee is coming internally from another Red Bull team isn't it just like giving themselves money they already have?
