Hey guys. I'm new to the WE series and I just bought my copy of WE7 yesterday. All my life I've always played FIFA but lately I've gotten sick of how EA sports was running things with that title. I decided to try something new. So far I love what I see. I love all the possible moves you can do with the players... it really allows you to outplay someone when you know what move to execute at exactly what time. I have a couple of questions though. Is there a way to call your players forward when your on the attack? Sometimes I find my self with the ball charging forward and not having much support. In FIFA you could call the players forward for a through ball. Can you call players forward in WE7. How can I tell my guys to run ahead for a counter attack? Also, I was trying to play a league season with ACMilan. But I don't think there's a way to play an actual Serie A seaon with only Italian teams. Is that correct? The best I can do is select whatever Italian teams WE7 has and then add some other foreign teams to complete the league... is that right or am I missing something?
I believe if you hold down L2 and press R1, you can increase the offensive posture of the team. There's those little color bars under the player name, they go from blue to red. L2+R1 a few times will put you red and into full attack. You can also setup L2 "macros" to adjust formations and playing style on the fly. Check out "Formation Settings" before a game, really neat.
When you enter Formation Settings, what do those arrows by the player's names mean? They point in different directions and have different colors. Also, when I play the game and I try to adjust the level of attack on my team by pressing L2 + R1, even though the bar under my player's name seems to go up a level, it seems like the computer resets it back down moments later. Does that bar indicate the level of attack for my whole team or just that one player? Why doesn't the bar stay at the level I place it at?
the arrows represent the condition the player is in that game. if it's red and pointing up, he lasts longer than if it's blue and pointing down. that attack bar at the bottom needs to be changed from automatic to manual. i believe you can find it if you pause it and go into formation settings. then, it should be under either formation or strategy. you'll find that you can set just the whole team to one setting, a group of players (ie defense), or each individual player to have different settings. you can even have them mark specific players or just go balls to the wall in attack. i advise experimenting with all the options for awhile, so you can learn what's available to you. strategically, this has to be one of the most advanced sports titles ever.
Totally agreed. Not only are the options endless and advanced, but I've never played a sports title where the slightest changes in game tactics can have such a profound effect on what happens on the field. You definitely need to play around to find what suits the players at your disposal, but also what suits your play-style as a gamer!
Can anyone tell me which national and club teams have the real player names? I'm not so knowledgable about some of the teams but I do know that I couldn't find Kahn and Klose on Germany. Brazil and the United States seem to be pretty accurate, but what about the remaining national and club teams? Thanks.
