Same old USA relying on scrappy dempsey goals and set plays.

    Time to reinvent the wheel.

Bring back Freddy. He was the best player in a US shirt at the rose bowl last year. Where the f is he now? Oh sure, he isn't lighting up the MLS like all those other brilliant american wingers and attacking midfielders that are so plentiful in our pool. Chris Wondolowski? seriously?

Please klinsi bring in someone with the confidence to break down international caliber defenders... not somebody who can pounce on a sitter left by a nat borchers MLS meltdown.

Why, so you can see him being run as a right back or something for this game? :p

If we need Freddy Adu to save us so that we can score on Canada, we are really screwed.

I'm one who'd like to see Adu succeed, but he hasn't shown it week in or week out for the Union yet so I don't think he deserves a call up yet.

Let's see if he can make the MLS All-Stars.

Freddy Adu? Is he even starting for the Union? You might as well call in an unattached playermaker from Zambia.

how do you explain players who tear up mls in the stat column and then lay an egg every appearance for the national team?

Every time Adu has suited up for the U20s, U23s, and the full national team he has played very well, and many times he has been the most dangerous attacker on the field for us.

Well, yes. That's what allows him to be so much better than his teammates. But as a creator, it also means that his stats aren't going to be that impressive. Assists require that the 2nd man score, and this isn't a strong suit of the Union players.

which is why DeRo is a candidate of MVP and Freddy is not.

(To spell it out, DeRo both assists and scores.)

At the very least he should have been brought into camp. Choosing Beckerman was such a massive waste of a roster spot with Edu, Jones and Bradley ahead of him, ridiculous. Why not go with someone who, god forbid, brings something different to the table...I could care less about his club form. He usually brings it for the US when he suits up

Because of the transitive property of US Soccer fan player evaluation:

If A > B in any situation, then therefore A > B in all possible situations.

that's the thing, we do need him to save us. anybody with a shred of knowledge of the game who has EVER watched freddy in a nats jersey knows he is our best creative option going forward. it defy's logic that he can't even scrap this bench. people must really hate the guy
