Will somebody PLEASE inform Marcos Alonso that it is OK to pass with your right foot? And that if you can't do that, you should stop playing football.
dude he's so good. i've been following him pretty closely and have seen him play for USMNT several times in person, it's always been obvious all the tools are there. and you're right, his mentality may be the best tool of all of them. i've always talked highly of him but i've been pretty reserved in saying just how good i think he could be so i'm not labeled a fanboy, but seeing him do it in the premier league like this is the most convincing evidence yet. i think i remember saying that buying him would be an immediate willian with the potential to have a hazard after a couple of years. that happened quicker than i thought it would. he's electric, he works hard, and he goes for the kill all the time.
Jorginho is bloody ********ing pathetic and I hope to never see a single minute of his useless, parking cone ass ever don the blue ever ever ever again
When we talk about needing a vocal defensive leader, the kind of thing that comes to mind is a match like tonight. When Keane said he'd be throwing punches at De Gea at halftime... yeah. You just know that NOBODY on that pitch is going up to Kepa and telling him to sort his shit out.
Imagine watching Jorginho aka the defensive midfield Casper, get passed around like the parking cone that he is, and your first concern is with the keeper’s ability to deal with an uncontested 1v1 inside the box
If only Kante was healthy for this match. I couldn’t see us conceding 5 if you sub Kante for Jorginho.
Sorry, switched sides after that Kepa watch the ball 2 feet away, thankfully to no harm I'd play Cab next match
Thank you, Aristotle. He isn’t good enough. We know this. What is more problematic is putting someone unreliable in goal when you are going to make them deal with high probability chances. He should have NEVER had to deal with that. Our defending is ********ing whatever the opposite of world class is. Jorginho is an actual disgrace
Well Kepa had time to set himself and only one forward to concentrate on. He was not the only one at fault, Alonso was ball watching. But after a couple of games last year it was obvious Kepa was not up for premiere league football.
Agreed. That's another one of those 'multiple things wrong'. At times I've defended Kepa - not because he's so good but because he usually isn't as bad as some make him out to be. But tonight he just doesn't look like he gives a shit. At all. Has he made a save?
When the chance never should have even been allowed, talking about the keeper stops being an interesting discussion to me. I’m fine with “agreeing to disagree” .. frankly, he isn’t up to snuff but infinitely more aggravating than him “failing” to save difficult shots is everything that lead to them to begin with.
It’s like constantly burning food and leaving the stove on as you leave home, expecting your faulty sprinkler system to have your back when idk, maybe you could just turn the ********ing stove off to begin with gahhhhhh
We are going to have to come out of the blocks like a bat out of hell against wolves. No lead will be safe. We've shipped more goals than barely safe Brighton this season. That's shambolic.
I avoided this one (for obvious reasons), could somebody give me a balanced break down? Seems like we haven't exactly improved defensively I'm guessing!
