This season was absolutely fantastic. Despite the result today I can't describe what and honor and joy it is to be a Fire fan - though that doesn't really even need to be said. 100% -Karl
THANK YOU FIRE!!!!!!!! Great season with great memories. A few more goals today and it would have been perfect....but close to perfect is still pretty damn good. See you in '04!!! CHICAGO FIRE: FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
Yeah, I'll second this. We're very, very fortunate to be able to support the Fire. Thanks for a great season and for playing very entertaining soccer (today notwithstanding). Now lets get back there next year and finish business!
So we had one bad game...and it happened to be the finals. Besides, we lost to a formidable squad. It's not like we lost to Dallas. We were still the best team in the season and so WE ARE STILL CHAMPIONS. Thank You for a great season. We Love You FIRE LO LO LO LO LO LO!!!!
A hell of a ride this year, I was proud to be a Fire fan in LA, especially at the end of the game, as they had left it all out there, and nobody can fault them for not wanting to win more than any of the fans. Sometimes it just does not happen, nobody likes it, it's certainly not fair, but such is life. But thanks to Peter, Dave, Chris and the team and the rest of the Fire organization that did so much for the Fire to even get to LA. And like they say in Mars Attacks, "two out of three ain't bad" Thank you Fire, thank you!
Thanks even to the guys who were off their game yesterday. They know who they are, and I'm sure it bugs them more than it bugs us.
I hate to be the turd in the punch bowl, and it really didn't matter except for the Brimstone Cup but, we did lose to Dallas. However, we took all 21 points against the Gals & MetroScum & knocked them both while winning the US Open Cup. It doesn't make up for losing yesterday, but I'd much rather have done it than not. We have plenty to be happy about what we saw in 2003, and have much to look forward to in 2004. This season was too long? I hate to see this season end. THANK YOU FIRE, THANK YOU!
I hear ya. I was just talking about an alternate scenario: if Dallas miraculously made it to the MLS Cup and we faced them and lost. Then it would have been really bad. But we are still the BEST!!!
LOL. That would definately be a great miracle. Too bad for them, they'll only have Adu for a few minutes...LOL.
