Now all I need is to convince someone to drive with me to Dallas for 2 1/2 hours! So I don't go to sleep on the way home!

The kids won't come, cause they have homework and school, and don't want to have to go to bed at 1:00 and get up at 6:00. I've tried bribery and pleading. No go. rats.

I'm doing something wrong raising these kids! Where are their priorities? The first playoff game rates in my book over sleep and school!

Something is definitely wrong. My kids would go to an all you can eat liver fest two hours away precisely to stay up til 1 a.m. on a school night.

Are you homeschooling? And is their homeschooling teacher a real loser?

Yeah, I gotta do better than a bunch of whining teenagers.

I've got to see this game! Where there is a will, there's a way. I will find a way!

I'm starting to think we might, just might, make it to the MLS Cup.

Dallas has played well against the Rapids and should make it to Round 2.

And the Burn match up pretty well against LA.

Is it time to start booking that flight to NE?

    Tell you what, vw...

I'll join you on that flight, if the Burn can pull it off...

Bet it would be a heckuva time!

Anyone know if MLS sets aside a block of seats for the supporters of each team that makes the MLS Cup?

That would make sense, but knowing MLS probably not.

    I discovered the magic words . . .

"we can sit with the Inferno, and you can yell 'you suck' and various other insults if you'll come."

It worked. So for one night, my thirteen year old and a friend or two, will be able to have a vocabulary building experience, in addition to getting to see the best team in MLS win their first game of the playoffs!

At least this time, I won't be able to embarass them by being the only one around our sections who knows the players names, what the call was, what offsides is, etc. I don't mind being a know-it-all, but it gets to them sometimes!

Now, if I could only get Ryan to come over and give her a hug, she'd be walking on air for a week! All my kids have a HUGE crush on him ("he is so much better than Landon!"), and Jordan Stone, and Bobby, and Vaca. and even Steve (we all love his accent and attitude!); actually, all the guys!

    So, we'll see you there!

great, you'll love the GA side so much better than the library, because when you yell people yell too instead of looking at you like you're crazy.

Sounds like your kids have better taste than mine.

My girls like Matt Jordan and Jason Kreis, but their favorite MLS players are Taylor Twellman, Josh Wolff, and Landon Donovan. On the bright side, though, they no longer worship Mike Petke now that he's married. :)
