then you have to ask yourself why the "worst team in the league" can hang with the the best team in mexico and what some people consider the best team in the western hemisphere for 120 minutes
If we played like that every game, we wouldn't be the worst team in the league. Hell, if we could play like that for every remaining game, I think we could go 9-3 the rest of the way and make the playoffs... ....but I don't see that happening.
This team tends to get up for the big games, and so far hasn't bothered showing up for many league games. If you watch some of the league performances, you cant deny we're the worst team in MLS. But we can also play with the best, as we've proven a few times this season.
same way the Lakers can stink it up against the Sonics one night and beat the Suns the next. Players get up for these big games, especially when they know a huge television audience is watching. Usually it has to do with respect. When you don't respect a weaker opponent, they can sneak up on you because they are playing for your respect. Even before Becks, it seemed like the Galaxy thought their s--t didn't stink and didn't respect who they were playing. Once Beckham got there, I think some inside the organization felt that other teams would be star gazing and intimidated.
