CR came back a man down to beat Guate 3-2.
Los Ticos capitalized on the few chances they had to win the game. Guate was out played on the wings mostly from Joel Campbells side.

    Our defense worries me..

Campbell attacks on Pacheco's side right? If so Israel needs to back up Alfredo's side to contain him, since Pacheco tends to add to the attack...

Yeah Campbell is on the right wing I'm pretty sure. But he tends to cut to the middle I noticed and that would be Purdy or Turcios position. Pacheco plays offensively but I think he still covers his position well. The problem will be speed, who can keep up with Joel and mark him the full 90?

I was on MLS soccer site and I saw an article about the CONCACAF rankings going into Fridays game:

Shocked at how low they placed ES:

I was shocked at how high they put Canada. You had a huge boost in their rankings if you had MLS connections that was made pretty clear in their write ups of Costa Rica and Guatemala. I mean Umana is suddenly that important to Costa Rica?

Umaña has always been a starter for CR. I assume he consistantly plays well for them.

Was he injured during the last gold cup Costa Rica didn't take him he hardly seems like "the brightest light" for Costa Rica. If I am writing up the 3 key players for Costa Rica I doubt many would put Umana top 3 like they did.

Umana is good but looks bad helping the RB which Costa Rica doesn't have. I had faith in Heiner Mora but all the reports I read said he had a lot of trouble against Guatemala...Carlos Johnson is a hacker...and Salvatierra is a drunk. I'm sure ES will try to attack our RB all day.

Will Arturo Alvarez, Zelaya, Pacheco, Cheyo, Montes, and Martinez play this Friday?

Zelaya is comign back from injury so he wont be playing for the enxt two world cup game, Alvarez has been ruled due to injury, Martinez hasn't been part national team setup for almost 2 years, while Montes form has dropped so low that his rated sixth best keeper in the country.....I am pretty sure Cheyo and Pacheco will be playing

Heard that. He belittled the critics, saying they are a small percentage with bad intentions. the 3-0 loss to Honduras pissed off alot of ppl including me. But, I/we shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly about his managing and tactical ability. Tomorrow is when it counts.

As for injuries and stuff, Fito will be deeply missed as always. As for Artie, man what a disappointment, he was doing great in Portugal even after the knock he picked up over their and lost a ton of weight. Hopefully he makes it back full strength asap. Another injured player we haven't brought up at all is Ruso Flores, we could really use him in the midfield he was great with la sub23. He went to Denmark or w.e only to end up injured. Rafa Burgos almost had me convinced he was a good starting striker until the Honduras game but he has been playing well overall with the NT and his club so I shouldn't be so critical. Lester Blanco has faded alot, I have high expectations for him especially since how great he played in champions league for Metapan. Anyway I'm rambling.. better stop.

Injuries have been killing us... but as Coach Ruben say once , lets not be define by one player ..

However , i feel this players out would have us ALOT ..experience is rather great with these players.

i feel coach really want to make strategy changes in game play on these last 3 games and honduras killed it quick.

    ARRIBA can la selecta!!!

Ref has missed a couple calls already..

1-0 CR 10' Saborio gets ahead of Turcios off a quicky taken FK.

Pacheco what are you doing?! 2-0 CR Campbell is gifted space to shoot.
