The SoCal Brigade will be setting up everything for this match as well.

    We will keep you updated.

We sold out the Supporters Section for the Sweden game, so we are looking to have at least two times as many.

    Slight nitpick here.

The US will play the winner of Barbados vs Dominica. The thread title refers to DR which is usually used to refer to the Dominican Republic a totally different country from the smaller English-speaking island of Dominica.

I think Barbados will beat Dominica so hopefully we can clear up any geographical confusion before the US WCQ even starts...

Count me in. Already have some word of newbies wanting to make the trip. The Sweden game was great but I think we need to get at least 2 sections.

    Can we make it happen?

Also, I liked being behind the goal better. I understand LARS is in 138, but I know a lot of Sammers didn't like LARS anyways and their Galaxy chants as well as their constant bashing of Sam's Army. I didn't have an issue with it, but a lot did so being behind the goal may be better.

The section will most likely be in 138 and 139 or 137 .

The RS did a few Galaxy chants, and a few of their members still aren't sold on SA, but they are coming around. There has never been a strong presence of SA in Southern California, but the SCB is changing that.

We hope you all come out to support the nats as we start the road to South Africa.
Tailgate info and everything will be up in due time.

Was hoping it would be in Columbus like the Grenada game (2006 World Cup) was.

I will deffinately be there with Chase and the SCB. Are the AO guys gonna try to make it out for this game? If so we should try to get together and organize another awesome tailgate like the one in Houston. (Not that I took part in organizing that tailgate, but I thought it went great.)

yeah we should definitely try to centralize the tailgate like it was in Houston.

here in LA, the tailgating is kind of spread out, but the atmosphere at the tailgate in Houston was fantastic.

I will start working on the section ASAP.

Here is something that people need to keep in mind about the HDC. Security there is like no other stadium in that I have been to in the world. They actually have metal detectors that you have to walk through. You need to empty your pockets and go through a scanner.

This means lining up to get into the stadium sooner. Just one of the inconveniences of the HDC, but LA rocks so keep putting games there!

I know that the HDC has some security inconveniences but I think that we should be able to work around those. I know the game against Sweden went well as far as everyone making it into the game on time. I just think that like Chase suggested, centralizing the tailgate in one main area would make organizing the march much easier because the majority of us would be in one location. Also, having the tailgate in one location is always fun because everyone can congregate and meet before the match. I really feel that a centralized tailgate will lead to a better and more organized march.

Will the HDC allow A tailgate?
We need to have a bigger group marching in and do it before the teams warm up.
I love to see us behind the goal this time.
If we want to fill it, we have to do it are self, so we can get more WQ.

I don't see why HDC would not allow a tailgate. There were many "small tailgates" at the Sweden game and I don't think there was any problem with that. I don't see why we can not get an area reserved for tailgaiting. I believe Chase is going to be contacting the HDC to try and get something organized. I do agree with marching in earlier to watch the warm-up as well as getting as many people as we can to join the march.

We've tailgated there (I've been to 1 US game and 2 DCU games there), but we were always told by the local fans to keep beer in plastic cups, keep it small, etc.

I assume you'd have a hard time getting something "officially" approved since the HDC's official position is "In order to suppress potential fire hazards, disorderly conduct, noise disturbances, health code violations etc., tailgating or picnicking in any of The Home Depot Center's or University's parking lots before, during, or after an event is not permitted."

This is true. The HDC's official guidelines say that tailgating isnt permitted, but I didnt see one officer or anyone patroling before the US Sweden game,so as long as no one is fighting or being way out of line, we should be fine.

Maybe something more along the lines of all parking together in one area and if we all happen to congregate in this certain area then we happen to do so. Like Chase pointed out, during the Sweden game there were no officers patroling. I am not suggesting being roudy or acting inappropriate. Just a friendly get together of US fans in a certain area before a match as a rally point to start the march is all.

I'll be coming down for sure. I dont know how many AO dudes will be there, but I'll start getting the word out to my friends anyway.

Chase, what about taking over that whole grassy back area behind the parking lot where you and the rest of the SoCal Brigade were at last time. AO was kinda far away from you guys at the Sweden game, and itd be ideal to be together for this game.

My vote is for the same section as last game (138 I think).

    Also, Chase, check your PM...

Haven't been to HDC or spent much time in LA County, so where's the best area to stay? I'm looking for somewhere when I can stay and walk to multiple bars and restaurants. I know that this is usually difficult in LA, but I'd like to avoid driving on the weekend except to/from the airport and to/from HDC.

    Santa Monica?
    Manhattan/Redondo/Hermosa Beach?
    Long Beach?

    Other suggestions? Thanks.
