WCQ Round 1 Matches?

    I was checking the FIFA World CUp website and they say that the OFC Round 1 matches are to begin this month, yet no match schedule has been made. Does anyone know when OFC is gonna release the matchdays?

    Stage 1: 2004 Nations Cup/World Cup Qualifying 10/05/2004
    Description & Details: 10-19 May 2004
    Schedule to be confirmed

    Stage One: 2004 OFC Nations Cup/World Cup Qualifying
    Group 1 teams: Solomon Islands (host), Cook Islands, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Tonga
    Group 2 teams: Samoa (host), American Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu

    * Please note that the 2004 OFC Nations Cup and 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifying competitions have been combined for the first two preliminary stages. Stage One will see ten teams playing in two group tournaments on a round robin league system. Winner and runner up from each group progresses to Stage Two with Australia and New Zealand who receive a bye for Stage One as they are seeded teams.
    Venue: Group 1: Solomon Islands, Group 2: Samoa

    Ok that helps, thanks. Apparently FIFA still has some updating to do.

    yeah that is a great move as it make the OFC Cup more important for New Zealand and Australia alike
