How pathetic is it that Canada at home attacks Mexico and is winning but Portugal with world class players all over the pitch sit back and get dominated vs an inferior team. Pathetic.

There are only two pots: Pot 1 is the seeded teams and Pot 2 is the unseeded teams. Other than Ukraine and Russia not being able to be in the same four-team path, there's no further segmentation of teams for the draw. Just two pots and there's no special ranking outside of six seeded and six unseeded.

They'll draw a Pot 1 team vs. a Pot 2 opponent for all the semifinals, and they'll assign each semifinal a number SF1-6. SF1 and SF2 winners play each other for qualification in Path A, SF3 and SF4 in path B, etc.

So Portugal could draw any Pot 2 team for its semifinal. Its four-team mini tournament could be as easy as Portugal v. N. Macedonia and Scotland v. Turkey, or as difficult as Portugal, Poland, Italy and Austria, etc.

Fernando Santos in a sit down interview tonight stated that if Portugal doesn't qualify for the 2022 World Cup he would step down as manager.

So basically he is stepping down in April. If he had any self respect or any integrity he would have stepped out this week. We're doomed.

This is by far the worst looking Portugal I've ever seen and they have been getting worse by the game.

FPF doesn't want to pay him off and he's too much of a coward to leave. How fitting.

Fact is, Ronaldo has enough power to tell the FPF to fire this clown. But this clown allows Ronaldo to do whatever he wants, and to take free kicks into walls and all that dumb shit so he's content with Santos there.

IF you think about it. This was a masterclass by Santos. We got the goal to go 1-0 up. And defensively we were absolutely solid. He was just let down by Patricio who let in two shitty goals that any competent keeper should saved.

With a competent keeper, we win this match 1-0. You guys are a disgrace, show some respect to our campeao coach. Wankers!

Patricio sucks now. Anthony lopes should start. Apart from the soft goals he’s giving up, his kicking game sucks and that’s
Not good when many of the international teams are playing a high press.

I think we can officially conclude that Patricio is past his prime. His last season with Wolves was subpar and he doesn't provide the type of service that modern keepers are usually asked to provide.

Watching Jose Sa in goal for Wolves this season has been a breath of fresh air - not because he's better than Rui as a shot-stopper, but because he is so much better getting the ball upfield to his teammates.

Of course, Santos probably doesn't want a GK who quickly gets the ball to outfield players, or passes it out of the back to build possession, so...
