Mexico v Panama
September 1, 2017
As of now, 9:30 PM ET
Mexico can officially qualify for the World Cup if they beat Panama and Honduras fails to win their next match.
Players I want to see called
Tecatito (hijo de p.luta)
Players I don't want to see called
Giovani dos Santos
Worth noting that with Mexico missing out on the Gold Cup final, JC Osorio will be suspended for this game unless the FMF successfully appeal his suspension.
I thought there was a third place match hmm.
No, they canned it
Hopefully Osorio's next.
Lets just qualify ASAP and get to work for Russia 2018
Osorio is here to stay it seems whether we like it or not. Longshot miracle, but lets hope after these past 2 disastrous summers that Osorio stops trying to reinvent the wheel so to speak and actually starts using the best players we have at our disposal playing them to their strengths
Just eyeball 14-16 players and stick with a formation
It's not that crazy
Time to start looking at replacements for Gio and Jona
That would be the logical choice, right?
**bets large on both starting**
Dueñas, Ayala, Moreno, Luis Reyes
Gio, Jona, Guardado
Raul, Cubo, Chich
Although I had a strong feeling after the first few games that Mexico played in the Gold Cup this summer would be a waste of time, has anyone thought that all of these "rotaciones" were ment to serve as a master plan Osorio had all along? I'm banking on Osorio right now.....that he'll be the first coach in a long time that takes us beyond the round of 16 in the World Cup. Although hard to believe right now, I can see it.
From your lips to Satan's ears
Hey, I'll pull up this quote 11 months from now and laugh if it happens.
Good luck with that.
I'm hoping your right in that response
Don't want to get off topic here but I herd Jona was offered more money by America than LA Galaxy. If that's true and if everyone thinks he did it for the money, then why did he sign with LA?
Back to topic, we don't have many good CDMs out there, who else could replace Jona?
Mexico City or LA hmmmmmmmm
yeah gonna be hard replacing Mexico's most important player for the NT
Vela is still on the roster
Idk if your're trying to be sarcastic or not but he was honestly the best NT player in the Confederations Cup for sure.
