I still see my tickets as the placeholder tickets. For those that have received the email confirmation that they are getting tickets, do you see tickets in your ticket account?
From US Soccer yesterday: We are still waiting to receive the tickets from Canada Soccer Association.
Safe travels to all. Have already heard of some travel fun for people flying from Columbus (mostly issues in connecting cities).
And buddy of mine received his tickets this morning. Note from him: "They did not go to my U.S. Soccer account. I received an alert from Ticketmaster that Josh (from USSF) had transferred me the tickets. I imagine that’s how it will happen. They will go to your regular ticket master account, not your U.S. Soccer account"
Didn't say unfortunately. Did see a post earlier today I think on FB of someone trying to sell 2 tickets in the section for $120 each. Can't remember the section number and can't find the post. Sorry!
I literally just got my email from Ticketmaster 1 minute ago. Subject: Josh sent you ticket(s) for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers - Canada V USA They are in Section 218.
I just got my tickets from Josh in section 218. These tickets were not in my U.S. Soccer account and instead transferred to my regular Ticketmaster account.
Section 218 has 30 rows, this site shows the view. Won't be bad viewing but it's going to be cold up there. Click on the green line to see the view. https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Tim+Hortons+Field/seating-chart/football/
this link from the Voyageurs was sent to me by a friend in Toronto and it's loaded with a lot of good info on transportation for the game in Hamilton. Just thought I'd share it here. Thanks to whoever put this together! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z1rB4zKpceA1_x47zAekNcTC8mGQrKXPme03VlqSB3s/mobilebasic
Has anyone seen (or can repost) info on what you can/can't bring into games? I believe that concessions are going to be closed if I'm not mistaken, but can you bring a bottle of water in? In terms of clothing, can you wear battery-heated clothing (coat/long-johns)? Thanks! Scott
Here's a virtual stadium for anyone wanting to check out the view from their row beforehand: http://ticats.io-media.com/web/index.html First couple rows are a really nice view for the lucky few, but even the top of the section isn't bad. But it will probably be one of the coldest sections in the stadium.
Honestly, none of these are bad seats at all. I'm in row 23 I think so way up there but hoping that back wall will block the wind.
the forecast at gametime is for winds in the 6 kt range from the SW. Section 218 faces WNW. Looking at Google Earth and the stadium view web site it looks like any wind from the SW will come pretty much straight into our faces thru the open south end of the stadium. http://ticats.io-media.com/web/index.html Winds in stadiums can swirl but unless the forecast is way off (like 180 degrees off) the back wall isn't going to help. SW is the absolute worst wind direction for us in 218. Luckily 6 kts isn't that much.
So we got that going for us. haha. I think it's going to be very manageable on Sunday at least from how conditions look right now.
If any one needs tickets in 218 let me know. We have a few extras due to last minute cancellations in our group.
yeah I agree, I don't think it's going to be that bad at all. Obviously if you dress properly. the MSP match on 2/2 looks like it's going to be a lot colder.
