What are peoples' expectation for crowds for the Asian World Cup Qualifying matches?

We know that Australia v Qatar has sold out. That's 50,000+ (maybe 55K)

Are the other countries also expecting to sell out their matches? After the Asian Cup I'm not sure what to expect, but of course this is a slightly bigger thing :p

In Japan I'm sure they'll also sell out. What about in China, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Bahrain etc?

ummmm yea...... well I dnt know what you guys are talking about. But concerning your question about crowds. Bahrain always have a sell out during international home games. Although not many travel with the team for away games.

Which translates into a slightly over half filled Saitama Stadium. Not a full house by any stretch of the imagination.

Not sure that "only" is a fair statement. Unfortunately a number of the seats (as always) are corporate and members and it's inevitable that they won't all be filled.

Can't really be disappointed to see 50K+ vs Qatar!

UAE vs. Kuwait was packed but played in a small stadium... maybe only 15,000 capacity.

In general I don't think, for the bigger teams at least, these matches to sell out as this is not the final round of qualifying. I doubt too many people are going to go see their team play Singapore or Turkmenistan or Lebanon, etc. N disrespect to those teams, but when the FINAL qualifying round picks up... expect attendances to pick up quite a bit.

I think most of Australia's home matches will be close to sell outs.

The stadiums original capacity was 15,000 but it is currently going through an expansion stage which will increase the stadiums capacity to an all seater 40,000 ultra-modern air conditioned sporting arena, and the expansion program also includes two residential towers to be built on the stadium. The project will be complete just in time to host games of the 18th Gulf Cup hosted by the UAE in January 2007.

No exact number for the number of crowd at the KSA - Singapore game, but i expect around 8,000 came. Probably less. Their should be more against Uzbekistan, and the 2nd round will of course be full.

LOL! You guys are both cracking me up... you have the wrong stadium completely. That was the Jazira Stadium in Abu dhabi. The UAE - Kuwait game was played in Dubai in the Al-Ahli Sheikh Rashid Stadium. Not much on the stadium itself but a link to the club and you can see the stadium is stated as having a capacity of 18,000.
