Now I'm even more confused. I have a confirmation email from FIFA with my random application, so it definitely went thorough. But when I log in to the FIFA account there's nothing there. No record to view/cancel/... What am I doing wrong? I'm feeling like an idiot at this point.
I saw a cancel application option but you cant open it and edit. You have to submit a new one. I think. It was small and above the list of country PMAs.
The USSF insiders application is a joke. I got my PMA and logged in to apply. But since I already applied for 3 tickets in the earlier FIFA drawing (US vs Aussies) it won't take this application because it exceeds the 4 tickets/ match allotment. Total waste of time.
Were you awarded tickets? If not it should allow you to add 1 for that match. 4 for the other matches. If you’re referring to the Random selection application, just delete and submit with 2.
Process hasn't been great. Figured out it was an ad blocker I had running that was stopping me. So I finally got through. But here's the situation now. So I'm definitely going to attend Round of 32 in Santa Clara if the USA wins the Group. I'm hoping to "win" the tickets, but since I applied in the FIFA draw I can't apply for Conditional ticks in the PMA draw for that game. I guess I'm gonna cancel the FIFA one and hope my chances are better in the USA draw.
I applied for all the Levi's Stadium games. The US/Paraguay match is at 6 PM and the first Levi's match is at Noon the next day. Logistically difficult; more importantly, way too expensive. The last two US matches share dates with Levi's matches, so I didn't go for those US games. Fingers crossed the US wins its group and plays its R32 match at Levi's. I applied for conditional matches for the US from R16 all the way to the Final and 3rd place match. The price for the final is ridiculous, but I would be sorry forever to miss the US in the World Cup Final. Of course, all of this is contingent on winning in the Random Selection and PMA draws. I have low priority as a Premium Insider.
No i haven't been awarded tickets as of the first two draws. So yes I could add 1 ticket in this process but that does me no good. Deleting my FIFA application to use the USSF draw seems like a stupid move. I am not high enough in the pecking order so I suspect my drawing odds are better in my current FIFA application. I somehow thought this process would increase your chances at getting tickets but that is just not correct, unless you are at the highest USSF supporter level. Second hand market here we come....LOL
And it's 11a Eastern on January 13. Allegedly the window to apply via US Soccer has now ended. Good luck to you all.
I'm gonna attempt USA/Paraguay, then hop on 7AM LAX to SJC flight arriving 8:15AM! My home is just 8 miles from Levi's. I'll get picked up at SJC, get home, freshen up fast, then park at the Great Mall of Milpitas and take the light rail to the stadium.
I should be getting an England PMA Standard or Value Tier ticket and if England make it, I get to the final and maybe it's vs the USA! I'll root for the USA in a sea of England fans... Otherwise, I'll find a way to get a Final ticket. It could get costly but I've already booked flights and hotel and have been tc the last 2 finals (Moscow/Lusail, 3 if you count the Women's World Cup...Sydney...). I did the South Africa final using a Ghana TST-7 strip (wish they still had those where you were guaranteed all 7 rounds of the World Cup even if "your team" didn't advance). I couldn't do Brazil SF or Final due to a family reunion.
So 350 million "ticket requests" for about 4 million tickets? Since the selection will I am not sure what a "ticket request" is. It could be an application, or a group of tickets to a match, but it makes most sense to me that it counts the total of tickets covered by all requests. So odds are about 1.14% of getting a ticket? Since each ticket isn't lotteried individually (just the requests), the odds might shift a bit, but I assume it's close. So, if you put in for six matches, say, the odds you get something is 1 - (.9886)^6 = 7%. If you put in for twelve matches (cause your credit limit is impressive) then your odds of getting something is 1 -(.9886)^12 = 13%. Your odds probably increase a bit if you said you would accept a lower tier seat -- but I haven't seen how that will be done in the lottery. Will they disperse each category one at a time and losers can remain in the lottery for the next lower tier? Probably, but hard to predict how that affects the odds without knowing what percent of people picked that option and where they started. Basically, you have no shot.
And just to make it worse. I am sure that the applications for the US matches far exceed any of the other matches save perhaps Mexico. Just have to face the facts that if you want to go to a US game you are just going to pay big time.
I don't see $1100 (or $1400 if you bought a TST Cat 3) getin holding up - it will until the draw results come out, but once thousands of new tickets hit the market, I just cant see it holding - it dropped to around $900 after one of the last phases around Thankgiving https://www.ticketdata.com/events/854992
That’s exactly what they want you to do. They want executives in the stands and fans watching on TV. That’s how they maximize revenue.
Well the "good' news is that one we get rejected next week we can then move on to the real decision. Second hard tickets or just stay home and watch it on TV. We knew the odds on drawing were astronomical but keep crossing our fingers. In a week we can face reality.
