Looking to apply to purchase tix on FIFA today. Is there a reason Cat 4 tix aren't available? I haven't been able to find an answer.
Just put in for the draw for the game in Seattle. But before you do....check out the hotel options. They are, shall we say, juuuuuuuuuust a wee bit overpriced.
https://www.ussoccer.com/support/fifa-world-cup-fan-ticket-faq No codes until early January? USSF already off for the holidays? (and also giving people a few more weeks to buy Insider memberships, I guess)
What's the consensus here? Are we applying for 4 tickets to each game via PMA and RSD both? What happens if we win both draws? Which takes priority? This is from the FAQ and it's a horrible answer that answers none of the nuance. If I already applied for tickets through FIFA, can I still sign up through the U.S. Soccer Insiders allotment? Fans are limited to four tickets per household per match. Fans cannot win tickets for the same match in both FIFA and U.S. Soccer draws.
Unless you are Anthem level ($25k) you'll only get access to 2 tickets from the PMA (fed code). So I'd grab 2 extra somewhere, if you are confident of getting 2 from Insiders. Unless we hear differently: - Anthem get 4 - Presidents get 2 - Coaches get 2 Then whatever is left goes to Keepers, etc.
I have 2 from resale site.. but if for some reason I get access to 4 somewhere else then Ill just transfer the 2 to a friend so I can keep 4 in my account. I think that's how that works.
I believe there are about 100 Anthem members. So thats 400 tix gone from the allocation. Assume 200? ish President so another 2 400 And 200? ish Coaches.. so another 400 Thats 1,200 of the allocation. Total guess.
I don’t think it’s a given that all members will be applying for tickets, even at those higher levels. And not applying for all matches, especially the knockout rounds.
It is expected that US Soccer will have info later this week about tickets per Sammers email to members.
I wonder how US Soccer will distribute their $60 per-match 10% of tickets that FIFA just announced. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/fifa-announces-more-affordable-world-160900285.html At least there's a chance I could get $60 seats all the way to the Final! "The newly introduced Supporter Entry Tier will be available at the fixed price of USD 60 per ticket for each of the 104 matches, including the final." - Article above
This was all fifa, and they thought they'd be cute with the $60 PR stunt.. now the fed has to figure this out and it cant be easy. I assume the feds had no heads up on this stunt. So lame. I cant even imagine the gymnastics that the fed is having to do with Insiders and AO/Sammers etc. Total shit show. - say 500 ish supporters tix are now $60. Woopee. 1% of the stadium. - give to AO/Sammers and let them divy them out. - put them in the Insider lottery and let the top tiers have 1st shot at them.. if so they'll all be gone before they even get to Pres/Coaches. - what section are they in.. is this the Cat 4 stuff in the corners. Damn.. this is a mess.
And here we go.....details from US Soccer! U.S. Soccer Insiders ticket draw We believe every fan should have a chance to be there for the World Cup, regardless of membership level. For fans whose long-term commitment enables U.S. Soccer to remain in service to the game, we’ve designed a draw that recognizes and rewards that support. Standard Insider draw: 10% of Insiders tickets allocated 1 entry per person Receive additional entries based on membership tenure: Member for 2–5 years (joined Insiders 2021–2023): +1 entry Member for 5+ years (joined Insiders 2020 or earlier): +2 entries Premium–Keeper Insider draw: 90% of Insiders tickets allocated Entries determined by Insider tier: Premium: 1 entry Premium Family: 2 entries VIP: 3 entries Supporters Circle: 4 entries Captains Circle: 5 entries Keepers Circle: 6 entries Receive additional entries based on membership tenure: Member for 2–5 years (joined Insiders 2021–2023): +1 entry Member for 5+ years (joined Insiders 2020 or earlier): +2 entries
So let me get this straight. - Standard (free) will get access to 10% of the allocation? Damn thats bs. - they arent doing a cascade style where Keepers (highest level listed) get first shot then whats left goes to Coaches, and so on. Damn.. - in theory...you could have a scenario where Keepers dont get selected for anything. I get they have more entries and more chances but damn thats cold. - and the difference of being an Insider since 2009 vs 2023 is... 1 freaking extra entry. Damn.
Yup. Although I'd be really surprised if those higher levels don't <wink wink> all somehow get picked. They just need to show it that all have chances.
..and would that Standard/free getting 10% allocation.. dont tell me that's the $60 tickets that Fifa gave to 10% of Feds allocation. Cant imagine they would do that but geez who knows.
