Wc watch parties

well for me and some others on here I know, Amsterdam will be the place to be.
For the US/England match, it's everywhere. I know that Blackpool Mike and some others are going to AB Soccer Park for their shindig for that game.

 

Amsterdam for sure. Will definitely be a crowd that fits my demographic I think (ie not family time).

 

Bingo.

You go there and get drunk and watch soccer.

It's a fun place.

 

for Saturday, I think the Day Pints are starting at the Dubliner and marching to the Watch Party downtown. Most other games I'm sure the Amsterdam will be most people's pub of choice.

I'm getting together with friends for the England/USA game and the Final, but I'm gonna try to hit the Amsterdam for a few matches.

 

I was definitely going to be out at the whole downtown event. I was hesitant about picking an official Eads Brigade event since everyone seemed to have different ideas of where they wanted to go. I think I'll go to the Amsterdam for a lot of the other matches though.

 

there's one thing that sucks about this year's World Cup, besides the fact that I'm not there, and that is that due to the time difference all the games are early morning or afternoon. So during the week it's nearly impossible to go to a bar and watch live if you work. Good thing 2014 WC is in Brazil. Although I may actually be there, so it won't matter.

 

For me, Dubliner for prematch pints, then on to the jumbotron downtown to cheer on the Yanks

Any chance for an official Big Soccer table on the patio at Amsterdam? I think I'm going to get there pretty early...anyone else?

Think it'll be too cut-throat to reserve anything. Those spaces will be at a premium.

I'm coming with a pretty good-sized group (and making contingency plans in case) and will probably get there for the Argentina game.

 

I'm going to be at amsterdams tomorrow for both games, then i'll be there for the usa game. IMO amsterdams is the only place to be for the games. So come find me. I'm going to rock my AC St. Louis scarf so come find me.

my asshole boss put a tracking device in my company vehicle. I can't go anywhere without him questioning why. The Amsterdam is outside my sales territory- 90 minutes of being parked there would probably get me fired.

 

I may try to take off on Friday and spend the day down at the 'Dam.

I can't think of anything that would identify me--I'm pretty sure I won't be the only guy wearing the blue Nats jersey, but I'll look for the scarf. I'm aiming for the second half of Greece/S Korea at the latest, so we'll see what we can do.
