goodbye hackworth....this is the first game I watched and this team Im afraid to say sucks. Most of the players have no vision and they work horribly together as a team. They semm to have no set plays all they do is Williams throw it long or Zimmerman kick it hard to Bates. Dissapointing and Embarrasing to say the least.
Guys, don't assume because you don't see a player type (e.g., big/fast, creative, shooters, whatever) on the field for US U17s, that such players don't exist in this country. Of course they do, we have 10,000 boys per age agroup who play this sport very seriously. This is the team that the national staffers have chosen to assemble. No more, no less.
Where was our attack the WHOLE game!!! I think Ellis touched the ball once in a dangerous situation...the only time i raised out of my seat was when we had a throw in....WOW
I must admit, I've been watching Soccer since I was really young and it's great to see this new wave of diversity in the German National Team. Hitler must be rolling in his grave...if he had one. LOL!
The next U-20 coach has his work cut out for him to field a qualifying squad let alone one to take to the World Cup! Hackworth is gone....hopefully. Who is in line for the job at brandenton? There not going to x the program, who gets the job?
Well, congrats to Germany. Good luck against England. You guys have an amazing and motivational coach!
and we are going to celebrate and I´m waiting for our Leverkusen players when they come home congratulation our german team. great job!!!
As the old saying goes, there are only 3 certainties in football: the ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes, and Germany wins by a goal. (Actually, I think it's "Germany wins one-nil" but I'm paraphrasing for the 2-1 loss).
Well, by that I meant youth level managers. I'm not talking about a Capello or a Klinsmann. Perhaps an up and coming manager from abroad who needs to get his foot in the door.
This has been covered before, there are Eastern European guys with outstanding resumes who work for peanuts in this country. Know a guy who was a top Bulgarian international, multiple Champions League goals, etc. managed a first-division Bulgarian professional team after finishing his playing career, he came to U.S. on a green card, was paid $30k per year by a youth club, put in charge of U8s. Would be easier than easier to assemble a staff of cheap, high-licensed coaches who played and coached at a higher level than any of our Bradenton guys.
Like I said earlier, perhaps an up and coming foreign manager, who needs to get his foot in the door, would do us some good.
congrats to your beloved team's successful result and advancement. Germany did have their dinner but less digestible than I though. But win is a win, though. Now, Hackworth must go! No offense from USA at all!!! Grrrr...
