A growing sense that things aren't improving and may be regressing. And the reason for it is there's something rotten in US coaching (inability to coach tactics, extremely poor player selection, being out-coached every game), from the lowest levels on up to the very top. As US fans become better fans at understanding the game, they'll start to hold the USSF accountable instead of being mindless cheerleaders. When that same infection gets into the press, you start to see some real advocacy for change. At least that's my take on it all.
I think the scoreline even flatters US, as they've been completely dominated at every part of the field. This team definitely isn't international calibre.
