    To add to this...

Why was Volland left out? We need a proper striker with aerial presence n finishing n hold-up play. Shame Reus was injured we need him for our front three. Where's Gomez? Bender twins a shame they're injured. Gundogan's been gone for a friggen year. Lets play Andre as a false-nine (Marc-Andre Ter Stegen that is). A half-fit Schmelzer is better than Howedes at Left back. Why no Jansen? Oh and Loew's an idiot if it hasn't been mentioned enough.

Looks like no neymar in the semi as well as thiago, if that's true then Germany should win comfortably

The ref didn't want to give out any cards for fear a Brazilian (other than Thiago Silva) might miss the semi-final. And FIFA certaily doesn't want to weaken Brazil on their way to win the WC.

Call me a cynic but I reckon that once Neymar sorts his hair out he'll be fit for the semi final.

No amount of additional motivation will make up for their loss. Hulk, Willian, and Bernard aren't on the same level. This will hurt bad.

    Holy shit! Gute Besserung!

Scholl really went nuts after the game about the ref. But not because he reffed for Brazil but because he didnt protected a player like Neymar. In general this WC would be a fight of physique and strength, where smaller, technical skilled players get crushed. Because the reffing in this tournament does not protect them.

So much negativity in the past weeks, and I can understand where the arm chair managers get their fuel. Lets now get behind a team that is working hard to succeed from manager to player. I was never the greatest proponent of Loew, but lets be real, so far, he's getting it right. France was a real threat, and they were dealt with in a very efficient manner. People are hailing Hummels, and righly so, but in the last two matches, Boeteng has been so solid,...he has broken so many plays and saved so many opportunties before they even started. I don't think Loew will make the same mistakes he's made in the past.....it's almost like he actually been listening. Lets have faith and believe that this might be our time!

I remember I posted that when Brazil was pressurizing Chile in the first minutes like champs just as they did against Colombia recently. So we need to be aware of very high-pressure, especially in the beginning to avoid an early goal. They are so vigorous and fast on attack, altough struggles to combine sometimes.
Germany looked safe against France without the ball most of the time but let's be honest, their whole matchplan looked like throwing long and high balls to Benzema. There wasn't much creativity, which isn't Brazil at all. And without Neuer it probably would have been 1-1 in the end.
Anyway, I'm following Dhajj pessimism tactics, so my prediction is Brazil gonna take it and the semi-final curse won't end here. :(

Edit: Just read that Neymars out. Okay, that could turn out very differently ,tho. Forget about everything I've predicted here.

For sure, Hummels has been outstanding, but Boetang saved us so many times in the Algeria game and for once I feel our defence is not suspect. There is pace and desire in our CB's and even howedes played his part well against a more than decent French side. The only player that is disappointing has been Ozil, but he'll probably score or assist the goal we need when it's needed...and that's why we need him.

Maybe there should be some codex or forum guidelines for the German forums concerning esp. this kind of stuff.
