and we have Govea in Europe still developing, I also think that Guti looked better than Guardado in the friendlies, we just need Chucky and Tecate to be in form and with Araujo and Salcedo we'll have a beast defense, the problem like always is finding a decent striker.
One thing though, I did not think Jona would be ineffective when he was subbed in. I guess he is done like Gio is as well. Too bad
I still think he has the raw talent to be a fantastic player, he just needs polishing up and continue to grow. I also felt like he was isolated a lot and the mid didn't do enough to get him the ball.
he didn't even show in this cycle, the guy is done specially if he keeps warming the bench for another year.
I don't think you should address me when it comes to manning up, amigo. See you next year; Brazil will welcome your team (with or without Osorio) for Copa América.
I'd be OK if he stayed at PSV another year. I know clubs are looking at him but he could use more polish...
Not in his position. At best he can be like Klose and be subbed in in very specific situations, but he no longer has the pace he did eight years ago when he could cut through defenders like warm butter.
Thanks, my good man. On behalf of my country, I'd like to apologize for us not beating the Swedes and changing both our fates. Sadly, this is our level. P.S. I am a huge, UBER, fan of your cinema. My favorite cinematic country; it even surpassed my love for French cinema.
Most of our team is still pretty young. Of the 14 players that played today, only Marquez and Guardado need to go. Still have a solid team in their primes for the coming Gold Cup and WCQ cycle.
When did Jona ever do shit in all his call ups? That dude been all hype since I can remember. Never had any hustle any time I've seen him.
Forgot about Johnathan Gonzalez, dude could be a real gem in the Mid if he continues to grow. Hopefully we see him feature more and more while we phase out older players.
You know who I'm genuinely sad for? Ochoa. Dude is probably the best keeper in this tournament and he won't get the Golden Glove because his team didn't get past Round of 16. He deserves better.
We would over come bad luck in the draws if we had players that were top level. Bad coaching or not we would have at least once made at least the final if our players were some of the best out there in the world, but they're not because liga mx clubs did not mold them into one. This is our level and it will keep being no matter who the coach is because liga mx is not producing top level players.
Mexico is like the 2nd oldest team in the WC. Take out Rafa, they are 4th or 5th oldest team. Mexico needs to start phasing out a lot of players on the roster and replace them with the youth real soon.
Everyone was clamoring for Gallito and Pizarro. I would have loved to see what both of those guys could have done, especially Gallito when we were rotating out DMs every game.
