Bilya played against Azerbaijan I believe, as a LB. I saw Pav play like 10 mins vs. Arsenal.

I don't know how Bukharov would fit in with Russia for now. He fits into Rubin play but Russia moves very fast around the box so he'll have to build some chemistry with the team first.

Russia hasn't produced a truly class striker for a while now. Bilya I doubt will start in midfield, if Zhirkov is unavailable then maybe he plays Bilya as a LB. I doubt it.

Do you guys realize how fukin sick this is??? Just got off the phone with my brother, I'm pretty much an idiot for not coming up to Chicago. Some of those Russian banquet halls and other bars are turned into rage out zones for the Russia and Ukraine games tomorrow. Ahhhh!! I'm scrambling here but still hitting up a nice pub with Setanta and plasma's with sound...yea only victory tomorrow, only W's

I'm watching it live on Perviy.

    Here's the line-up.

Акинфеев, Анюков, В. Березуцкий, Игнашевич, Жирков, Билялетдинов, Зырянов, Семшов, Денисов, Павлюченко, Аршавин

The commentator on Setanta is calling Bilyaletdinov "Billy," and the other is calling him Biletnov.

The radio commentator I am listening to said "It's cold, so the spectators are entertaining themselves with a wave" :)

Now the commentator, for the third time, has asked why Zhirkov does not play regularly for Chelsea. Do they not realize he has been hurt?

"Our man Billy," makes up for his brilliant goal with an extremely lucky goal.

It is good to see SLovenia keep chasing the game even though a 2-1 result would be very good for them.

Good ol' Russia. Dominating performance only to revert back to primitie status in the last 20 mins. If not for Igor it would have been 2-2, he made a world class save in extra tme.

It would have been 2-0 if the Russian defender had stayed with his marker. Akinfeev continues to save his teams defensive frailties, whether CSKA's or Russia's. Of course, is it a coincidence that the center defense are the same for both?

This tie remains open. 2-0 would have been great, but typical Russian/Ukrainian mentality at the end.

We've got no one better. To be fair our defense gave up zero chances for nearly the entire game.
