They are thinking of money. These rights cost big money, and they are not going to make a profit off them. They would have to buy them off of Setanta at an inflated fee.

That's shitty...but if our teams make it to the World Cup we won't have that problem next summer :)

I don't know. I am just in that funny mood today. I am quoting movies left and right. There is an Ashton Kutcher quote in another thread :)

It looks like Russia's 2nd leg in Slovenia is going to be tape delayed on Setanta. Setanta will show Portugal-Bosnia and France-Ireland on Setanta extra (Directv only I believe), with Russia being shown at 5pm.

My apologies. France-Ireland is on Setanta Premium, Russia-Slovenia will be on Setanta Xtra.

    Any Zhirkov news?

Whose going to be the striker? Pogrebnyak is probably most in form and used to the MF of all people.

So no predictions on who will start at striker? It is not clear cut- 4 options with major question marks.

MF I would like to see, Bystrov, Zyrianov, Semshov, and Semak although would not be surprised to see Denisov in there for Semak.

Well, I doubt Hiddink will go with Bukharov. For sure PP won't start and that leaves Sytchev/Pav/Kerzh. Sytchev won't start, Pav's out of form, so that leaves Kerzh. Kerzh isn't a big game player but Slovenia's not a big name team.

It's still a huge game though.

I would start Bukharov, just based on what I have seen in the few games of Rubin that I watched. I am not a fan of any of the other options anyway.

I would start Pogrebnyak. Bukharov second. I have not followed Kerz at all lately, but that Germany was a disaster.

Its Kerzhakov, Bukharov and Pav, PP in that order. First off the bench might be Pav though.

Bilya will play imo. When was the last time he played for Russia?

Didn't he play for Zhirkov not too long ago?

I would not want to see Kerzhakov out there. Bukharov is also the most in form, but I saw extend highlights of Pogrebnyak in last Stuttgart CL game and he basically led to all the their goals and almost scored a couple himself.

Anyway has Pav played at all this year besides on carling cup game or whatever?

I think its been a while since Bilya played

Yea I saw the highlights too, Pogrebnyak looked pretty good I though. Russia is really having some difficulty choosing the right guy for this game it looks like. Its amazing we're even talking about Kerzhakov being the #1 choice when he wasn't even taken to Euro's

Kerzhakov was playing the best during the summer months of the RPL, however I think his performance against Wales and Germany was iffy at best.

Pav would probably be the #1 if he even played for Tottenham.

    Pogrebnyak is a distant memory.

And Bukharov hasn't played enough for the NT.

I agree, tough call for us. But Hiddink sees them every day in practice so I think he has a good idea which one will fit in best on Sat. ;)
