I thought Germany's appropriation of the K/J 2002 logo was thievery, but apparently, its tradition! http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/en/06/loc/e/pwc.html Look at 78 and 82 86 and 90 They are very similar designs. 94 and 98 seem to be a bit different. But in 02 and 06, it looks like its back to tradition!!
The 1994 logo went back to 1978 and 1982. The 1998 logo went back to 1986 and 1990. The 2002 edition looks nice, but it will be better if the design is more of a soccer ball.
May be I should be specific.... The 1994, 1978 and 1982 were that of a bouncing ball with colors of the US, Spain, Argentine illustrating the movements. The 1998, 1986 and 1990 designs had stationary ball. As for 2002, I cannot see a soccer ball in the logo.
