Anyone know how that was divvied up? Did hard luck guys like Chris Armas (who contributed through qualifying but didn't get to go to the WC) get to share in the booty?
I'm fairly certain they all got the $170,000 (I think that's the right number) bonus for getting out of the group stage, but I'm not entirely certain if they all got the same amount to attend. Something tells me they did, because I doubt any of our Nats would have said they wouldn't go if they didn't get paid enough. I'm sure all of them wanted to go just for the experience.
"Members of the 23-man American World Cup roster last year also benefited, with bonuses totaling $188,043 for each member of the team plus $2,500 per game played, meaning the top amount was $200,543." http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=268737&cc=5901
Since Armas was on the 23 man roster, he did get 188K in bonuses. Armas made the same amount of money as anyone who didn't play (i.e. Kasey Keller)
