The post suggests his Norway comment/critic would have repercussions on finding a job...Being Swedish, it doesnot...
seeing Brazilians basically say their NT sucks because -corruption -not great coaching -Europe stealing too many Brazilian players too quickly which then makes them more Europeanized players over the more Brazilian style. I've mentioned LOADS of times, that Brazilian players are moving to Europe too quickly. Not only too quickly but that they are mostly stupid and tend to go to the Elite Clubs who wont integrate them. So end up in terrible situation and end up flopping or going back home. anyone remembers when Ronaldo went to PSV, when Lucio went to Bayer, when Ronaldinho went to PSG, when Rivaldo went to Deportivo etc. They didn't go to any Elite Clubs. will also add that the quality of their current NT is very poor. Neymar was always overrated and now retired from NT too. If a mediocre ex Hertha Cunha can make Brazil SNT, you know they are lacking quality, LOL. I've also mentioned in past that Vicinius despite all acclaim for Real never shows up for Brazil, every single match I've seen of him for Brazil he looked terrible. Brazil was one of the oldest teams in entire tourney too, LOL. Attack was only place where it was young
Yeah, the last crop of great Brazilian players started small when they made the jump to Europe, first getting a feel of what it was like before drawing the attention of the top European clubs through their NT exploits in the World Cup. Remember Ronaldinho was a relative unknown when he announced himself on the 2002 World Cup, which resulted in his move to Barcelona.
LOL Zidane looking like new France coach. imagine come Fall, -Germany=Klopp -Italy=Pep -France=Zidane then add Ancelotti for Brazil. Like why are sooooooooooooo many FAMOUS club coaches all going full in for NTs......I recall for LONGEST time, club coaches basically shat on NT footy as being INFERIOR....
Makes 0 sense for Pep to take the Italy job or any national team job outside of Spain really....his brand of football takes ages to implement and for players to understand their roles.....international football you don't get enough time with the players to implement a complete foreign philosophy to them
These days they are getting paid "close enough" wages for doing 20-30% of the work ...why wouldn't they take the jobs... Also both Klopp and Pep genuinely looked spent at the end....but both have coaching in their blood so international football is happy compromise I guess
Pep has already turned down Italy due to salary demands. Like I posted earlier, Pep will NEVER be Spain coach due to his Catalan separatist views.
Klopp has indicated that Germany SNT job his very likely his LAST coaching job ever. I understand he basically won every single club trophy in Germany and in England and he aint getting younger. heres hoping the Germany Klopp project is a hit and he stays as long as possible. speaking of EPL, anyone feels like the league wont be same without Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho, Klopp, Pep all gone now. never liked EPL but funnily their coaches made MORE headlines than their actual matches. does feel like we see less and less long term coaches at the top clubs and now its mostly going to merry go coach around, LOL.
Well, certainly Man U has never been the same since Ferguson retired. Just shows the difference a good coach can have on a team vs. A mediocre one. Well EPL has the most money, they attract the biggest coaches along with the biggest egos, which will cause the biggest headlines. Maybe, except for Klopp. Didn't really follow him at Anfield that much, did he create any real controversies?
I think one controversy I recall is that he got into trashing of a ref, LOL. And maybe an odd remark here and there. on whole I think he was well liked, never forget his mockery of Mourinho with whole Normal one. heck even Pep has admitted that Klopp was his toughest opponent hes faced and he had nightmares trying to prep vs Klopps Liverpool. That his attacking football was something to admire and that he forced him to up his coaching game. We know that Klopp has best head to head vs Pep too. feel like when Klopp was there was less battle of egos that one saw in the Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho days and more of battle of tacticians.
In the last 10 years, SAF was more like a hybrid DOF than coach - he outsourced much of the first team management to Carlos Quieroz and then Rene Meulensteen and ran much of the football side of Utd with CEO David Gill Ironically David Moyes then sacked Meulensteen, the guy who coached utd to the double and won multiple titles. So basically they lost the entire front office and the first team trainer side all at once and never recovered. This is of course clubs don't tend to let the first team trainer or "manager" amass this kind of power anymore.
I think that style of Managerial drama peaked out in the 00s. Football isn't covered that way so much anymore
FIFA continues to be very corrupt nothing new, LOL. the corrupt President wants to sell stake of World Cup to Private Investors and UEFA reacted that all 55 members will boycott the World Cup if this happens. Statement on behalf of UEFA and its 55 National Associations— UEFA (@UEFA) July 30, 2026 essentially wanting to sell stakes to Trump family.....cringe.
Infantino raus! His buddying up with Trump and family and now involving them with selling stakes in something FIFA have no business in selling is the last straw. Actually, what probably needs to happen is UEFA and Conmebol break away from FIFA. It's a constant stream of corruption. Maybe today's vote to boycott is the first step.
I know they wouldn't but Uefa walking out would collapse the whole thing, and I one for one hope they do it...Iam ok with world cups being played between the ( south and north ) American Asian and African countries...let them have it Hell, they can have England too....maybe they can win a world cup or 2 ha
So thats that then. Its still time to reinvent the whole thing....No disrespect meant to any country, but all countries having equal votes in FIFA is a joke and needs to change.....yeah it all sounds wonderful but corrupt governments and football bodies shouldnt have the same voting power as the rest.....Cant forget about the suitcases full of cash delivered to African, Asian and Caribbean governing bodies representative in Paris and Zurich before the vote for the 2018 and 2022 world cups.
Yea.. whatever. they have sold the 100 year Copa already, so why not the world cup? UEFA should do their own thing and include whoever wants to be part of it.
