And there we have it, the scummiest final in World Cup history.

I still think Spain will stain the World Cup for a second time. The world is fvcked.

    Could England have done better?

For me I'm hoping Spain (gach, bile, vomit,) wins. I just can't stand the thought of Argentina tying with Germany for WC wins turns my stomach.

That's what Germany get for their complacency. Even worse, they've been surpassed by Spain in number of Euros won.

Win as many Euros as possbile, preferably five in a row. I want Germany to leave Spain as far behind as possible. Being surpassed by scum will always be shameful.

His contact is only for 4 years, so only one euro possible. He might agree to an extension afterwards, but he typically bails after 8 years or so.

It's up to his successors to keep a stranglehold on the Euros, then.

Honestly are we really worse than England. They are awful. Yet they get further than us. Surely its a mentality issue

Quality wise, I don't know. They have Bellingham, Kane and Gordon who are pretty good. Better than an in form Wirtz, Musiala, Karl and some striker we haven't found yet? Dunno. Don't know much about the midfield, I suspect our (healthy) back 4 is better.

Clusewitz states that the morale is (significantly) more important than the physical aspects. In other words, the passion (Leidenshaft), the willingness to put winning above everything, leaving it all on the pitch. I think England had some of it ,certainly more than Germany. Germany looked like they were out for a lark, playing a friendly.

I'm expecting Klopp to change that, put the desire to win above all else back in the German team.

Argentina v England ended up being quite similar to their R16 match v Egypt, once behind the pressure Argentina exerted was too much for the opposition on both occasions, with Gonzalez adding width on the left and Messi getting involved a lot from the right meaning they weren't playing so narrow. This coupled with the immense self belief and fighting spirit they've built up under Scaloni.

For me England are the weakest of the semi finalists, they don't have the ability to keep the ball under pressure. That meant they faced a constant bombardment in the latter stages which was only likely to end in one way.

Even though i dont want Argentina to win a fourth world cup and tie Germany...its always delicious to see England come so close, chock, and fail...nothing funnier in football. May this continue continue for the next 60 years.

As Messi played pretty much all his career in Spain, the Spaniards have a mental blockage when they play against Argentina at NT level. I can clearly see Argentina scoring a goal sometime during the match and then Spain playing short passes forever without any clue of how to unlock the defense and lose the match. I was very confident that England will win today and as that didn’t happen, I see Argentina winning it in the final

Bellingham is a good player. Kane typically flops in big games and for me Gordon is a headless chicken.

Musiala pre injury absolute baller. Euro 24 he was excellent. Wirtz I agree has stagnated and needs to find form and kick on whilst Karl has excellent potential.

Id take pavlovic stiller Nmecha in CM than Rice and Anderson who both are guilty of not keeping the ball well at all.

Hope Wirtz to find form again under a new coach in Liverpool. I remember that Klopp called him a once-in-a-century talent to and that he needs to get a lot of the ball in certain positions.

A player like Harry Kane would be good for us as he keeps backlines busy and would give space to other players. However he is 32 now and wont go on forever and will probably drop a little in quality upcoming years.

We would really do good with a player of Bellinghams mentality.

Wirtz woild thrive with better movement around him, if he was playing in Olise's position for France or in Olmo's position for Spain he would be a standout for either team, imo.

The worst world cup final of all time. Sorepain vs Fagentina. You know the feeling when you really don't want certain team to win something but in the end the two team you don't like the most ,will have a match up in the final. It's like trying to fart but shit come out.

All this hate for Spain is verrueckt. They are nowhere near as bad as Argentina - did you see Simeone last night lol.

Cucurella's handball was wrong decision by ref but tbh it wasn't that controversial compared to some of the stuff we see. Lets not forget Kroos hacked the shit out of Spain in that match and injured pedri in the first 20 minutes.

Cucurella is just the last in a long list of problems we've had with Spain. We haven't beat them since 2008 and they've humiliated us on and off the field (6-0 loss and the Kongo line behind Schweinsteigers interview after we lost in 2008), we haven't beat them in a competitive match since 1988(although 2 friendly wins).

Spain are basically our new Italy, our chief rival in Europe (although I think we are beneath their notice, they probably think of us as doormats, an easy 3 points). They are like germany in the heddy days of 74 -90.

So their is a lot of negative feeling here towards Spain, although I personally dislike Argentina the most.

    Not just that.

Since the 2010 World Cup, Spain have been acting as if they are the be-all and end-all of world football. I've never seen such a level of arrogance before, not even from Argentina.

Bellingham mentality ? What's that a spoilt brat who loses his shit when he gets the smallest of criticism? Good player, terrible attitude who needs to make everything about him....Not saying his fight with Tuchel after the quarterfinal is the reason why they lost but surely the distraction didn't help.

Wirtz biggest mistake was moving to Liverpool...Ballack was the last German player to move to the PL and do well (ish).

Not sure Ballack is the last German to do well in the EPL. Havertz has been an overall success, and Groß has done very well for Brighton, fan favourite there. Guys like Stach and Schade are doing pretty well for their clubs too.
