After getting a chance to talk to a few of the front offices guys and a pretty impressively chiseled 48 year old keeper coach at the beach soccer scrimmage I was thrilled to find out that other than the departure of JP and the Howitzer they expect the rest of the roster should remain nearly unchanged, with Evan and Marco still noncommittal. Sounds like Matt Stewart's going to be back and healthy again which hopefully, like Nick, can last the entire season after neither player was able to finish either of the last two seasons.

IMO it would be nice to get Kyle Lance back in one of those open spots, but with the team holding open tryouts coming up soon a little infusion of talent from the reserves or the tryouts would be a good thing as well.

Last years loss of the Riptide Dance team was a downer to a lot of the fans, and I'm guessing there's no plans for them to return this season. Not sure if it's a scheduling or a money issue, but frankly if it's money I'd rather have another championship caliber team on the field than professional halftime entertainment.

Finally, and this may just be wishful thinking on my part and I may be being a bit naive, from the people I've been talking to (an no not anyone in an official position with the team) the notion that Jim is looking to sell is way overblown. What I'm hearing is yes he's concerned about attendance, as is coach Tozer quite openly, but he's looking more for additional investors and sponsors, not to sell the team. What I will say is that this season (unlike last year) they are doing a phenomenal job of staying in the media throughout the off season and making sure to get a lot of face time as well as being more active in social media. Major props to everyone in the front office, the coaches and the players for helping keep the buzz going throughout the off season and hopefully that'll translate into more fans in the seats!!!

Wave will be the favorite to win again. And are nothing but a class organization from top to bottom.

Evan was signed under a 3 year deal 2 seasons ago. So I believe your incorrect on that.

The questions about Evan's return sounded like a potential retirement, not moving on to another team, thus he could walk away from the final year.

There is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that said goalkeeper coach could still PLAY and SUCCEED at it!

Funny you should mention that, because on that day he actually did play and played well.

For the record we're talking about Mark Litton and not Victor Nogueira, right?

WaveFan...I hate to tell you but Lindenberg is wanting to sell the team. His call for more investors is to take the financial burden off him. Could this be the last season for the current owner.
That would be a good move on his part because it is quite obvious that the planned expansion for the MISL is not happening. Norfolk out, Chicago in again, Dallas going PASL, nothing else really happening...how long will MISL V.3 last??

Syd, yes. Me. Dropped 25 pounds of fat, put on another 10 of muscle. Fit, healthy, ready to play! (in any over 35 league that will take me!). :)

NO OFFENSE MEANT (I could use to drop 25)... does Victor N have an extra 25 pounds of fat (seems incomprehensible to me)? If so, please spare us the before and after pics!

syd, actually had a hydration test done at the beginning and a week ago. The hydration level also gives me a fat % to lean mass % ratio. Doing the math, the % lost between the two was 25lbs of fat. But as the fat % went down, the lean mass % increased, instead of staying the same. The math on that one put me close to 10 lbs difference. So scientifically, I lost roughly 25 pounds of body fat, and gained almost 10 additional pounds of lean masss (muscle). I won't argue with science!
