Literally choosing to turn into danger. Like... is the match just too easy so they want a challenge? Incidentally, this use of VAR is 100% inconsistent with how it's been used in the *Premier League* all season. If you have to watch 47 replays to see a tiny non-impeding contact then you cannot say the referee has made a clear and obvious error.
For clarity; I think it's a foul. I'd expect a penalty to be given at the other end. But the use of VAR is entirely inconsistent. Commentator just said, "A few weeks ago I don't think that would've been given". That's a problem. This god damn game should be 5-0 and done with.
I don't think they need to just launch it - just don't deliberately go into a tight spot in the corner.
WTF are we we doing??? Maybe if we go 2 goals up we should only allow our players to kick it with their least favourite leg.
Need to repeat myself here but there should be a time limit on VAR of max 15-20 seconds. That should be plenty for assessing an OBVIOUS error which is how the system is worded. My ultimate fear of var is being realised. It is changing the game to something judged by fractions and adversely impacting the in stadium experience. There is no undoing it from here, will only get worse unfortunately.
