i think it needs to be said that collectively, as a group, no sport has such fans as mls. post after post, if you're like me, you get defensive if someone tries to put down our league, annoyed that there are americans with ManU jerseys who've never been to england or an mls game. this has been a proud week for all of us, and its funny how the boards have lit up. same as when the US beat Mexico in the WC. i just wanted to say that i think its great, each of us, individually, contributed, by promoting the sport in offices filled with people who don't care. wearing mls jersey to public places and not giving in when the naysayers predicted doom when the florida teams folded. garber has done and amazing job thus far. and so have we. its a proud day. adu signing was like taking the training wheels off of a bike. watching the HDC sold out on ABC on sunday will also be a proud moment. plans for expansion and new investors just increases our optimism. i've been a season ticket holder since 96 and its been a great ride. i expect it to get much better.
And I thought this was going to be another Adu thread. Well said, stinky. "Is this the little League we used to carry? Is this the little League at play? ... Sunrise, Sunset. Sunrise, Sunset. Quickly flow the years..." *sniff, sniff*
