BURN GAME-WATCHING PARTY WEDNESDAY AT THE STADIUM CAFÉ

The Burn will host a game-watching party on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. at The Stadium Café.

The Stadium Café features great food, cold drinks (including $2.00 Budweiser and Bud Light draft and $2.00 well drinks) and there will also be some great Burn prizes given away at halftime.

The Stadium Café is located on the south east corner of Addison Road and Beltline Road, in same center as Purdy’s and Bennedick’s Breakfast Restaurant (www.stadiumcafe.com).

9:30 on a school night might be bit tough to make. I will have to see what this week looks like. Hope to see everyone there.

    Not a chance...not at 9:30 on a Wednesday, 45-minutes from home.

The Burn needs to go into Spartan Stadium and just kick SJ in the balls.

    Hard.

I don't give a damn if we win or lose. It's time to kick someone in the balls, make them think twice when they go up against us.

That's right. You don't think that'll be on their mind when they come back to play us here at the Bowl?

What Sweeper says. Kick them in the balls.

Should we be concerned if the Ranger's ball game runs long? Does anyone know if Fox ha a plan B? move the Ranger game to 27 KDFI (wishful thinking) or BURN. I know that they are counting on a 30 minutes SW Fox Sports Report or some such for a buffer... I was just wondering. Would not want to leave anything to chance !

Im not sure. I think they have Direct Kick. I dont know if that will help or not. If the Ranger game runs long maybe we could switch over and pick up the SJ broadcast. This of course depends on blackout restrictions.

Im going to try to make it.

Is the game on Fox Sports Southwest? Or the local San Jose Fox Sports network. We have a movie theatre down here we can watch it on (if its on FSW)

If the Rangers game goes long, they'll join the Burn game in progress.

I think I may actually make this one.

On the one condition that no one quote me on anything I might say during stress of the game.

Hey there's nothing wrong with baseball. It's a perfectly good excuse for getting together with friends to eat & drink.

Of course I have a bit of a problem with people who insist on calling it a sport.

nah, it's a sport and it takes tremendous athletic ability to play. i don't particularly like it that much, but i don't begrudge the people who do.

    Roll Call?

    Jonno (maybe)
    3rd (maybe)
me (late - end of first half or so)
    who else?

I've seen some of those lard-arses who play that spo.. I mean game. Just today at lunch I saw some guy had to run between two bases (how far is that anyway) & he cramped up & had to go off!

c'mon you old man. all this talk about it being too late for you is pathetic! you already missed brazil nookie girls once because of a late start at jonno's, don't let the opportunity pass you by again!* :D

    * - this is not a guarantee of nookie girl sightings

speaking of gloves and cheating, keeper gloves these days have freaking suction cups and glue on them! FIFA needs to seriously regulate these down to something that doesn't turn the keeper into spider man for cryin'-out-loud!
