He’s just not fit enough to play a whole match.
Hopefully that will change, but as far as disappointment he can handle that better through maturity, and I think Bosz is helping him with that.
Definitely had some strong games for Club Brugge which is no surprise considering his talent level.
The past is the past but he can control the here, and now with better consistency which he’s obviously capable of.

No question of the excellent midfield options for Oranje I really hope to see Koopmeiners get an extended run.

  3. I'm actually a fan of him, but my big issue with him from his Ajax time is the highlighted part you mentioned. I'm still not sure if he has it in him to not buckle under pressure and await comments on that after Liverpool matches against opponents with aggressive hard pressing midfields. I don't think Leverkusen has such a midfield.
But Slot managed to put it into Orkun Kökçü, so who knows.

If you think our midfield options can't get better:

Martens discusses approach to make Smit better

In harsh weeks at AZ, Kees Smit's play was one of the highlights, the midfielder enchanted the Alkmaar crowd, especially against Fenerbahçe. Coach Maarten Martens discusses how he wants to make the midfielder, who has been compared to Kevin De Bruyne internally from an early age, even better.

Sweet! The more the better. Add Tygo Land… also 18 y.o. He’s been on PSV bench several times already, and I think he’s due for some playing times soon. Silky and fluid playmaker, he’s drawn comparison to Frankie de Jong

Anderlecht gaat zich nog voor het hoofd slaan... Gemiste transfer maakt grote indruk bij OH Leuven: "Dat merken de scouts ook op"
    [IMG]Voetbalkrant|11 days ago
Ezechiel Banzuzi ...

Anderlecht are going to punch themselves ... Missed transfer makes a big impression at OH Leuven: "The scouts notice that too" Voetbalkrant|11 days ago
OH Leuven won the competition with Anderlecht for Ezechiel Banzuzi last summer. At Purple & White, they are going to punch themselves on their head, because the 19-year-old midfielder is exactly what they lack and he will bring in a lot of money. Ezekiel Banzuzi...

'The Leuven Pogba' is already dreaming of the big Oranje: 'It has to be that time within two years'

Banzuzi is already in the Jong Oranje squad… Only 19 years old (youngest in the team).

Reijnders scored a double today against Empoli.

He now has 3 goals in 12 matches.
Thats as many goals as he scored last year in 36 matches

He worths more than 20 millions that Milan paid for. With him at the front and the in form Gravenberch and Frenkie De Jong behind, this midfield is good as any top 3 midfield in the world.

Reijnders’ second goal (AC Milan’s third) was absolutely brilliant… picked up the ball from about the halfway midfield, and skated his way through goal in full speed with his lanky legs, and shot with precision.

That kind of initiative midfield play makes the Oranje NT better, as it slices open the opponent’s defense. Frenkie is obviously the master of this, but I’d say Reijnders and Gravenberch are equally comfortable/capable of executing too.
