Slot is shaping Ajax graduate Gravenberch to become a fierce DM. Work in progress, obviously, but Ryan has been starting and getting the lion share of minutes! Encouraging sign.

Dont expect Vos to start for AC Milan anytime soon, he will have to work his way up from playing in Serie C with the Milan U23 team first

I hope he can fix his attitude which was his downfall at Ajax.

Gravenberch had a great first half against ManU

They already nicknamed him "Gravy" in Liverpool

Ryan Gravenberch opens up on his improvements under Arne Slot at Liverpool - as Reds star explains his new role amid criticism from national team boss Ronald Koeman
    [IMG]Daily Mail|6 hours ago
Slot (right) faced a mammoth task of taking over from fan favourite Jurgen Klopp, but has already made his mark on the side, and Gravenberch (left) has played a huge role in the transformation
    .

This is quite a funny take. He is still the same Gravenberch, but florishes in this specific role under Slot in matches that didnot address his flaws he had at Ajax and most likely still has. He was too casual in his defensive tasks (and as such it still isnot clear how much it's a case of being too casual or a case of not having that tool at all in the bag) and it's something that takes more than training a month under Slot to get rid of. I don't follow epl clubs, so I can't tell which clubs have a midfield that can press and force Liverpool's midfield back, but my hunch is that ManCity with KdeB at least is one of those clubs.

Well if Veerman had a solid chance, why not Gravenberch. Let’s give him a chance, specially now that Frenkie is still not available.

Veerman never belonged to begin with.
Quite outrageous that Koeman started him against Austria who are such a heavy pressing and running team.
Just a stupid decision and set him up for failure as the man is too slow and lacks athletically.
Then to bring him on in Euro Semi-Final along with Weghorst was just ridiculous when the game was calling for Oranje to put more pace on the pitch.
Winning Football today you need as much speed and athleticism as possible.
Now Veerman is questioned by Koeman for not moving from PSV, but it’s like Ronald hello?
No one wants to pay for this lacking athlete off this dreadful Euro.

  10. Of course, but on the condition Cowboy uses the tactics and formation that makes Gravenberch effective.

I can't remember, but some criticize Koeman for that not moving remark, while he himself supposedly said to Veerman to stay with PSV.

Really he said stay at PSV?
See, there he goes again contradicting himself.

  13. Just quoting some people, I dunno if it's true.

La Gazzetta dello Sport zooms in on the role of Tijjani Reijnders, who scored a goal against Germany, just like against Bosnia.
'Just like Cruijff, he plays in orange with number 14', the pink sports newspaper makes a very special comparison. 'Reijnders has scored two goals in two international matches and is perhaps one of AC Milan's players with the most potential. Maybe they haven't figured out how good he can become. Its natural elegance is impressive and it is effective. Moreover, he can play 90 minutes forty times a season: that's not normal.'

Frenkie was back on the bench today.
The question becomes do Barca want to keep him now that they're playing so great??

Sem Steijn, attacking midfielder of Twente, is the surprise leader in goal-scoring in Eredivisie this early season. He had 6 goals already (scored 2 today). Also netted 1 goal in UCL qualification, to bring his tally to 7 so far.

Last season he scored 19 (whoa!) goals in all competitions. Looks like he's well on his way to break his own record.

    Oranje NT call-up soon...?

Reijnders MOTM today against Inter in the Derby. He got one assist but should have had two if it wasn’t for Tammy Abrahams big miss. He did a delightful pass on the 77 minute, you can look it up. Him and Gravy in midfield is shaping very well for the NT.

Xavi scored his first BuLi goals this season with a nice volley. Also assisted once sending a through-ball.

Gravenberch with another arguably man of the match performance, completing 92% of the pass, won 8 out of 8 duels. He has developed well which helps to minimize the loss of Frenkie. Happy to see. (Gakpo on the other hand, has not been good enough to be starter yet. Van Dijk was also good).

Koopmeiners started for his fourth consecutive matches for Juve (including a CL match). Registered an assist, and hit a woodwork once. Looks like he’s hit the ground running in his new club! Let’s see what he can bring to Oranje.
