Gini in a tough spot too. Ultimately he needs to go and find a new club soon. The money is tough but to pull a Bogarde would be disgraceful in my opinion. Pochettino personally called him to have him join when Wijnaldum was being pursued by Barca and Bayern Munich. That means absolutely nothing now however. Certainly Gini a better player then Paredes, Gueye, Danilo, and Herrera, but new Coach looking to unload guys. M’Bappe list of players includes Gini I have read in a few columns, but PSG have a new boss in Galtier who is not getting caught up in player power it appears.
As much as I want to see Gini play at the WC, he needs to get paid. Especially at his age - this is his last big contract. Hopefully some compromise can be worked out where he gets most of what he signed for, while getting regular playing time somewhere relevant.
PSG has some beef with Barcelona that makes/made? them snap up players Barca wanted like Gino, who was in completed negotiations with them. Edit: atm Barca is in no way able to compete with PSG for players, so I don't think PSG continues to disrupt their transfer actions.
I doubt, actually I'm sure, Roma can/will pay Gino 20+ million. Unless PSG takes their loss and continue to pay him. But in that case I would choose to move to PSV, as they're in the qualies for the CL.
De Jong is being very stubborn and greedy with his salary at Barcelona’s. Xavi latest statement is that he values Frenkie a lot as a central defender… I wouldn’t risk fitness and game time on a team that wants to sell you anyway. I think he feels confident that no matter what he’ll be slotted into our midfield for the World Cup. Let’s hope for the best but he should go to Man U in my opinion.

Lets reverse this, lets say a player wants to conserve energy for the world cup and tells his club he's only showing up for half the games and the other half he's taking a vacation. He would be tossed out of that team so fast it would make your head spin
