is this a good time to test Nick olij of sparta. if not verbrruggen or flekken regardless of of there status in epl as they are playing against top frowards
Some people want Cillessen back as 3rd keeper https://www.voetbalzone.nl/nieuws/r...-oranje-wordt-groter-als-ik-koeman-was/431453
With goalies it's different from the other 10 on the pitch. Those have to be in form AND have rapport with each other in order to form a well oiled machine. The goalie on the other hand is an individual and can be selected based on form, on the condition he ticks boxes required for an Orange Squad goalie. So if Cillesen outperforms the others, there's no reason he shouldnot be selected.
Bijlow being linked with Arsenal and Liverpool https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/8863...oord-keeper-op-shortlist-arsenal-en-liverpool
19380 Ehh, he's not average. He's a class goalie, who has been on top club's radar for years. He's a bit made of glass though, so I'm very much on board of selling him and keep Wellenreuther.
I can't see Bijlow starting for either team... he's clearly not there yet. And I hope Bijlow doesn't move to be a back-up goalie! Top-tier clubs should go for Verbruggen. He will have a very nice Euro this summer and take Oranje deep in the knockout stage -- maybe save a penalty or two in the process! Bookmark this post!
anyone has seen or followed Jeffery de lange. his move to Marseille is a surprise one and will compete with Rulli ex ajax. more depth now in Gk department. he is only 26.
Joel Drommel played for Jong PSV today against Jong Ajax (don't know why they played a 27 year old in what is supposed to be a development game, maybe they don't have any good young keepers). He was OK making some good saves but misplayed a corner kick in the final minute that allowed Jong Ajax to tie the game at 2-2. the other Ajax goal came off a horrible back pass that slid right past Drommel. Ajax also had a PK clang off the post.
Southampton are interested in Bijlow https://www.ad.nl/nederlands-voetba...visie-verruilen-voor-premier-league~aa01c6c1/
Deal collapsed after medical… has to do with Bijlow’s injury history. Wow. I guess he’s returning to Feyenoord, and will be fighting to claim his starting job back. Unless a last-minute suitor come forward…
It's totally understandable about Bijlow. I don't think he has played a full season over the past three or so years.
He also stopped a penalty against Leganes https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/lof-voor-cillessen-na-glansrol-tegen-real-madrid Praise for Cillessen after starring role against Real Madrid 07.31, Today
Verbruggen back in the starting lineup for Brighton, down 0-1 v. Arsenal (first half). Got lobbed by Havertz after a defensive error from the CB. Verbruggen collected 4 saves so far, but all of them are routine.
21796 https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/owusu-oduro-in-de-voetsporen-van-ed-de-goey Owusu-Oduro in the footsteps of Ed de Goey Bart Frouws 15.30, Today After the first weeks in the Eredivisie, AZ can boast of fine defensive statistics. The team of coach Maarten Martens gave away almost nothing last weekend against the extremely weak RKC (0-3) and again kept a clean sheet. That was the fourth time in as many games. It is the first time in Eredivisie history that AZ has not conceded a single goal in the first four rounds of play. A notable name in the squad – and not just because of his height – is that of Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has impressed in the UEFA Youth League in recent seasons and now gets his chance under the bar in the first team. Owusu-Oduro missed the opening game due to injury, but he has been of value in the past three games. Now, you can't say that he has been tested hugely, because AZ have only conceded five shots between the posts this season, but the keeper kept his goal clean. This makes him the youngest goalkeeper with three consecutive clean sheets in the Eredivisie since Ed de Goey in 1986. Number of shots against at the goal sofar: Wouter Goes must be good as CD, when the other regular top 5 clubs have double that number shot at.
21972 Mark Flekken has been nominated for save of the month in the Premier League. The Dutch goalkeeper impressed with his save for Brentford against Crystal Palace. Of course this means shit. You can be a horrible goalie, but have a moment of glory. However if it pushes him to higher levels, it's a good thing.
Also made a great save denying McAlister, and stood strong against Salah in a 1v1 situation. The goal scored by Gakpo was maybe a bit of unlucky for him. And Salah’s goal winner was just phenomenal, nothing Verbruggen could do about that…
