Marco van Basten was a club and NT legend and a rubbish manager. Ruud was not convincing at PSV.

So were Solskjaer and Ryan Giggs, and how did that work out for them??

  4. I didnot mention qualities.
I was referring to him being kicked out within 2 months.
That's not going to happen. My bet is he will sit out the season.

To put in in perspective, Ten Hag tied with Louis Van Gaal for winning one title, the FA cup for managing MU. They also tied with R. Koeman who won one title, Copa Del Rey with Barca.

How long would he have to abstain from taking a new job though??
If its 1-2 years I would pocket that £15 million and wait a year or two before taking the next job.
Because I doubt the next team will come even close to paying that

Now that Amorim has been confirmed as Man Utd’s next manager, Ruud has three fixtures to show his coaching skills… high likelihood that Amorim will bring his own staff, and Ruud will be forced to find a new gig. Maybe going back to Eredivisie and find a struggling team (it would be too funny if he takes over his old club Heerenveen from another Orange legend Robin van Persie! :p:D)

Mohamed Salah on direct style of Arne Slot: 'Don't think I really knew the Dutch before I met him'
Arne Slot is having a great first few months at Liverpool. The team won nine of the first eleven league games and is well ahead in the Premier League. The former Feyenoord coach is therefore held in high esteem by the supporters. But does that also apply to the players? Liverpool's club channel invited three of them. "He's very honest and very direct."

Van Nilsterooy is back… will be taking over Leicester City. Huge test! Leicester are on a skid of five game winless streak and fighting relegation.

Ruud won the first game he’s in charge… excellent start! Must be a great feeling for the club, as Leicester had not tasted victory since mid-October  4 points safe of relegation.

I don't think Liverpool will be champion. They will drop points now the schedule becomes dense en then falter in the spring.

So, you're telling me ManCity/Arsenal/Aston willnot qualify for the KO phase of the CL, and neither do Tottenham and ManUnited for the KO phase of the EL.
Otherwise I can't imagine Slot being the only one with a dense schedule of the clubs competing for the title in spring.
Or are you just hoping he fails, having chosen for big money paycheck instead of staying in the Eredivisie?

I think Liverpool has a relatively small squad and leans on ageing players who will not be great every three days. They have been lucky as well, against Chelsea for example.

I hope Slot succeeds, certainly... I hope VvD says farewell while lifting some trophies but I absolutely hate Mohamed Salah.

German media praise Schalke 04: 'By far the best performance of the season'
    11.25, Today
Kees van Wonderen has carefully started the way up with Schalke 04. In the last five matches, there was only one loss and on Friday evening, the leader was convincingly defeated. The German media know for sure: Die Knappen are not in danger of relegation in the 2. Bundesliga.
