DeLigt and deVrij both start today.

DeLigt is currently starting ahead of Chiellini and Rugani who are both on the bench. Thats a good sign

Dumfries with his seventh goal in Eredivisie this season... second in PSV squad (along with Gakpo) after Malen :) His goal today showed plenty of his assets... speed, timing and precision!

Dumfries is 23, Wijndal is 20 - that's the future of Oranje wing backs! Hope they stick around in Eredivisie for a couple more years or so! Get plenty of minutes and keep improving (as opposed to go abroad and lose playing times).

  3. Karsdorp was very active today and Malacia is improving fast each match. So there may be competition for the two wing back positions.

  5. De Ligt infected by his team mate with the corona virus.

Bosz deploying sinkgraven in 3-4-3 vs Monchengladbach.if he can remain injury free, he could also be a contender for LB/WB position.

Nice how Bosz has outplayed that totally overrated and overhyped Rose & Maric twats :)

  8. There are rumours Anderlecht might be unsuccessful in trying to hire Phillipe Sandler another season, as Pep is pondering to put him into the ManCity selection.

If so, could Phillipe rise in the ranking of our long list of CD's?

The City legend turned Anderlecht player-manager has taken Philippe Sandler under his wing this season, with the Dutchman impressing in his 11 appearances before injury issues in Belgium ended his season before the new year. It's not been the ideal loan spell in that respect, but his form before his knee injury was promising as he started each of Anderlecht's games in all competitions between August and October.

Now, reports say Anderlecht want to keep him for another season, but perhaps he might be of better use to City at the Etihad.

  10. Sandler can play for the USA too.
Fun fact. At Anderlecht there's another CD, 24 yo Derrick Luckassen who's dual national Netherlands/Ghanaian on loan from PSV.
That dude has been approached by the Ghana fa if he's willing to join their national team.

he needs to keep playing. thats all. others ways no doubt he destined for big future. a very composed defender. being following him until his injury ended his season.

  12. I'm quite surprised the US coach or former AZ man Stewart as manager of their FA havenot approached him yet. They did make Kik Pierie know they follow him when he was at Heerenveen.

  13. When you look at the young ones in the CD's position it's insane and a waste of talent. Mbuyamba 2001, Bogarde 2002, van den Berg 2001, Drongelen, 1998, Ovando Hoever 2003.
These face the big ones who for many years are dominant.

Looks like de Ligt had a productive day at the office today.

    100% passes completed (83/83)
    3 tackles
    1 clearance
    1 clean sheet

On the losing side and denied his first silverware in Juve shirt, though, as Napoli won the PK shootout in Coppa Italia final.

It is good to see De Ligt improving. He still has a long way to go to make impact but he is quite young. Here are the top 10 although arguably Van Dijk should be #1 on the list.

Errr... Virgil hasn't played in a major tournament yet in Oranje shirt (not his fault!)

It's pretty amazing though that Virgil is already among the legends, considering that he is 28 and has only registered 33 caps... that's relatively "green". Koeman had 78, De Boer 112, Gio 106, Krol 83, Rijkaard 73, Stam 67, etc. Even Ooijer capped 55

What about xavier Mbuyamba? He looks on course to be following the footsteps of Van Dijk. Could be the next defensive wonderkid.

Krol, Koeman, F. De Boer and Gio all were captains, so is Van Dijk. However, only Rijkaard ever in the top 3 best footballer voting (3rd?) like Van Dijk (2nd), and Rijkaard is more midfielder than central defender. I don't recall any of Krol, Koeman, F. De Boer and Stam ever considered best defender in the world like Van Dijk. His leadership, positions, football IQ, ability to go forward....are enough for me to rank him #1. Van Dijk also missed 2 major tournaments 2016 and 2018 in a row.

  19. Please donot adopt the habit of US fans who hype every young player who hasnot done shit yet.
Let's keep our feet firmly on the ground and report when a youngster did do something to talk about.

De Ligt with another strong performance as Juventus defeated Bologna and closing in on a title. Earned a penalty, gave away by another Dutchman Stefano Denswil.

Whoscored gave him a "7.9" rating - among the highest. Great to see De Ligt recovering (performance-wise) after a turbulence few weeks in mid-season!

De Vrij is no Paolo Maldini and Maldini's saying doesn't apply here as De Vrij is too slow to even try to make a tackle. To say he is better than de Ligt is more than humorous.

This Serie A season he certainly was better, more consistent and less error prone.
