Watched the game and the instruction from arteta looked to be very clear for wingers to drop deep and team up in defense

. From intervention point of view if you look at Timbers performance he really didnt do much ( little) but it was that effective teaming up and back tracking by saka that really closed up space for doku to dribble and it resulted in him passing backwards alot .though he did find his way around few times. City were more dominant on the left with savinho who was more determintal turning in side out of calafiori.

Truthfully Q can do better with the ball and his passing to be honest with you.
I love him, but I don’t think he’s better than his brother at this moment.
You don’t like J on the LeftBack for Oranje and I’m not thrilled with that myself especially as he was responsible for the second German goal last week by switching off and allowing his man to beat him goal side, but he is pretty solid.
