171605 Crysencio Summerville in great shape: Rotterdammer saves West Ham with winning goal in extra time Crysencio Summerville has shot West Ham United to the eighth final of the FA Cup. The Rotterdammer made the only goal in the away game against Burton Albion (0-1), which plays in the third level. Summerville was initially rested, but had to come in in the closing stages of regular time to force a decision. He scored in the fifth minute of the first half of extra time. The 24-year-old attacker is in top form after the winter break. He scored six goals in his last seven matches for West Ham United. Summerville would like to play himself into the selection for the Dutch national team for the World Cup. He has been in form lately. He may get a chance to show himself to national coach Ronald Koeman at the end of next month when the Dutch team against Norway and Ecuador practice.
I’ve been watching him closely and he looks great playing on a poor team. Another player who would benefit greatly with more talent around him. Absolutely deserves a callup. Koeman better wakeup and watch the videos.
Malen can play all across the attack, and I don’t think it was a smart move by Borussia Dortmund to let him go to Aston Villa as he generally played quite well. At Villa he would see lots of rotation, but he’s always shown the ability to play in different systems, and positions His movement is generally good so I would have to imagine he’s a lock for the World Cup, but God only knows what Koeman is watching?
Another brace for Malen today as Roma drew Napoli 2-2. FotMob has him as the MoTM. 5 goals in 5 matches since his move
I think playing as a 9 might finally unlock him. At Dortmund, he was always half season wonder, there was no consistency. Near the end, he was not playing at all. At Villa, he were decent but never got the opportunity to show his skill. Given his form as a 9, he should start ahead of Depay.
Lang is making things interesting… scored two goals for his club today in UCL. Can he keep this up?!?
Cracking match. Lang’s movement was very good. Koopmeiners with 2 goals the second was a World Class strike. He can play in various positions and is tactically excellent.
172406 Summerville impresses under the watchful eye of assistant coach Van Nistelrooij. Crysencio Summerville is having a good season at West Ham United. That has not gone unnoticed by national coach Ronald Koeman, who sent his assistant Ruud van Nistelrooij to the London Stadium to watch the smooth winger. Summerville may be able to make his debut in the Orange selection next month. In January, national coach Ronald Koeman announced that Van Nistelrooij was added to the technical staff of the Dutch national team. The assistant national coach was therefore an attentive spectator at the duel between West Ham and Bournemouth, with special attention to Summerville. The lightning-fast winger is working on an impressive series this season, with which he has put himself in the spotlight with the Dutch with a view to the World Cup next summer. In the last seven games, Summerville scored six times. In the home duel with The Cherries, however, it did not work out. The industrious winger provided a lot of threat with his smooth dribbles, but it didn't come to goals. The game ended goalless, but again Summerville made a good turn. Who knows, maybe that will lead to his first Orange call-up for the friendly games against Norway and Ecuador next month.
I would play the front three with Frimpong on the right, Summerville other left and Brobbery in the middle. The scariest fastest players....Gakpo has to be benched
Summerville netted the game winner today… his 7th goal since the turn of the year. Excellent finish with composure after the opposing GK went outside penalty box and got caught in no man’s land. Could have had an assist with a superb cross that went untouched. West Ham are still in the bottom three though, fighting for their survival!
