Boadu just needed one minute to score his first goal since returning… came as a sub in 78th minute, netted in 79th.
At the time they said they were surely but I didn't see confirmation. OK, thanks. I do believe he got an Assist on the 4th Bologna goal.
Reporting some late breaking news from Amsterdam today that Bondscoach Ronald Koeman was in attendance today and apparently has a cell phone. I’m suggesting he was talking about Brobbey, or perhaps he was streaming Bologna’s match to get a look at Zirkzee. Come on Ronald stop the madness with Weghorst over these 2 better, younger, faster, and more athletic athletes.
If Euro started today, surely Brobbey would have been in the starting line-up, alongside Gakpo in a 3-5-2 formation. Both are complementing each other.... Brobbey is strong and physical, and very good in holding up the play. While Gakpo is fluid and quick - and can drift to link to the midfield. The re-emergence of Memphis lately is certainly interesting, and much welcomed. I hope he continues to bang goals in coming weeks, because this would give Koeman something to chew. Given the options, I think Koeman could/should switch back to 3 forwards upfront -- this is more ideal for Oranje in my opinion. Without Memphis, Koeman simply does not enough quality at the moment with both Bergwijn and Malen blow hot and cold (I am tired of these two, they can't be relied upon!). Lang is injured and Simons is playing AM at club level. Zirkzee has got to be tried out, now and before too late... he is an all-around forward that can dribble the ball well (a "9.5"), not just an old-school pinch-hitter.
Salah out injured from AFCON still, and Nunez is questionable with ankle injury. Gakpo has to take his chance now and score some goals vs. Arsenal
I actually turned the match off when they got substituted. I’m pretty sure it was Gravenberch who played the decent ball into the path of Diaz which led to the goal before the half, but he hardly got on the ball. Some rather dour football I thought. Gakpo had a shot off target in the first half and drew a booking from Gabriel in the 2nd half, but other than that not much.
Malen with 2 goals today, and Maatsen got an assist in the 3-0 win. First goal was a gem, the second goal the keeper should have had https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM6ctN5rn/
New kid on the block. Tijjani noslin. Any thoughts on Verona new boy. Looks like a good talent. Remains me of Promes.
Gakpo scored his 10th goal of the season (in all club competitions) - to go along with 4 assists. Not bad considering he’s been in-and-out of rotation. With Salah is back from AFCON and everybody is healthy, Liverpool has five (!!) legit attackers to compete for three spots upfront. Madness.
I noticed today, when a defender doesnot lean on/gives Brobbey the chance to use his body by keeping away from him, he becomes less dangerous.
Actually I've another target, Zeefuik, who joined AZ. He, just like Brobbey is gifted with a stong athletic body and like Brobbey did parasite on that, instead of developing his skills and it shows, unfortunately. I hope someone at AZ points him at it and shows how Brobbey took the criticism the right way to elevate himself towards the level of a striker he has in him.

Uh oh, jinxed Jota is reportedly out for a couple months, and Darwin is carrying a knock. Never wished injury to anybody, but if I were Gakpo, the situation certainly looks promising from playing-time standpoint. Let’s see if he can rack some goals/assists and get in a rhythm just in time for this Summer’s Euro. With Memphis ramping up, Malen surprisingly holding his ground steadily (even after Sancho arrival), Brobbey on fire and Zirkzee emerging… finally there are options for Koeman on the front line!
