First of all my predicament. I'm shortly moving into a new apartment (in the USA) where local cable TV and a few extra channels are free but this doesn't include Fox Sports World (the channel that airs Premiership games). To my horror I would have to subscribe to another cable provider to get this channel at a cost of $58 a month just to see EPL games. Ouch.

But, as Baldrick would say, I have a cunning plan. I was downloading some stuff using Kazaa (P2P software) and found a Red Dwarf episode that had the BBC America logo in the top half of the screen. This led me to believe that someone had recorded the episode using a DVD burner, ripped it to MPEG format and shared it like you would when you share MP3 files.

So, I propose a business plan or an act of extreme goodwill for anyone who has a DVD burner and a DSL line to record episodes of the Premiership on ITV saturday nights and send them over to me. I will have a very fast cable modem installed in my new apartment and am pretty computer savvy (it's my job). I will then set up a web site where I could make the file available for download for other people on this board.

Before anyone shouts about legal rights I'll point out that as ITV is purely paid by advertising and is available to anyone who has a TV in the UK it is effectively free. BBC and Sky would be different as they are subscribed to.

As I said, I would be willing to pay someone a small amount through PayPal to cover the costs.
