Another great article by Mr. Goff! Both Washington Post articles appear at the very top of the front sport's page. AWESOME!
A little dissention in the KC lockerroom? I love it! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A46502-2004Nov12.html
It's really hard to imagine Tony Meola complaining about anything......unless the backup goalkeeper get's last pick of the donuts.
I would love to see Meola's fat fanny in goal. Can't think of many other players I would enjoy seeing lose to United as much as the Meatball. Bring on the Donut King!!!!
Notice to Tony: Now is really not the time to be pulling this crap. I can't imagine they'd use him after a 3 month layoff. 3 months with little/no exercize? How many donuts do you think he put back during that time frame?
I wouldn't. Say what you will about Meola, but he is a very good keeper and tends to have big games when it counts.
I will say that and more..... Meola is a good keeper, as you state, but he is just as well known for his horrible gaffes in big games. He hasn't played in three months and our entire team should know to shoot near post on him beause he cheats to his far post all the time. Besides, is there another player in MLS that is as fun to heckle as Meola?
Thanks for posting the link (I meant to but I forgot). I think DC United fans need to thank Mr. Goff for asking Tony all the tough questions and creating a little turmoil in KC's locker-room.
