Did anyone spot the nice color picture of Alan Shearer (I think) on page 2 of today's Post Sports section? I've noticed over the past few weeks quite a lot of pictures from the EPL and other leagues abroad like that. It's great that the Post is giving international soccer some attention, but can anyone remember that last time it printed a photo of any kind from a DCU game, never mind a nice color one?
Man, you beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing this morning, although there was a picture in Sundays paper after the San Jose game. Nothing as nice as Shearer's though.
I could have sworn there was a pic with the writeup on the KC match at RFK. The Post always gives attention to the EPL and other big Euro news stories (Ronaldo going to Real, for example). And that was a pic of a Spurs player in the Sunday paper, BTW. While the Post may give the EPL some love, it's usually only for the teams at the top of the table.
Re: Re: Washington Post - EPL pictures - No DCU I stand corrected. I guess I was still recovering from Saturday's celebrations and missed it
Re: Re: Re: Washington Post - EPL pictures - No DCU As I recall, the Post used this AP photo: http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/gallery/20020831/1030841661mls_earthquakes_united_rfk101.html
