RSL travels to the home of the Colorado Rapids for the third leg of the Wasatch Mountain Cup. What?!?! Didn't we just beat these bozos and win the Wasatch Mountain Cup?!?! What are we doing playing these losers again? Oh well, since our line up of cool Lego-block Repilicators basically man-handed SG1 and the rest of the Star Gate losers the last game, I don't know what line up the CRapids will be fielding. I mean, they threw out SG1 and we smoked them, so who they going to call on now? The Wraith? Toast! The Ori? We'll eat them for lunch! The Lucian Alliance? Fugetaboudit! About the only thing the CRapids can do is sell their souls and field a team full of technology-destroying drones from Stargate Universe. Maybe then they'll be able to stop our team of Replicators (the cool Lego-block ones, not the cheesy, human-looking ones). Anyway, take RSLs Repilcator line-up below and insert "Technology-Destroying Drone" and that will be the CRapids line up. ------------------------------Replicator---------------------------------- ---Replicator------Replicator-------Replicator--------Replicator----- ----Replicator----Replicator------Replicator----Replicator-------- ---------------Replicator-----------------Replicator-------------------- This game is going to make the whole Transformers-Decepticons war look like as cheesy and staged as a WWE Kim Kardasian/Snooki Polizzi no-holds-barred, cage match, cat-fight. Meow!!!
Wow, you need to stay off whatever illegal substances you take before you post. What is a Wasatch Mtn Cup? Is that the 2nd cup we win when we beat cRapids again? Anyway, it should be fun match. Colorado is ready to implode and although I feel for Oscar, I hate his team and have no problems watching them crash and burn. Maybe Sabo can catch Wondo with this one.
Wasatch Mountain Cup = Rocky Mountain Cup re-branded since the cRapids haven't won the damn thing in over 6 years now, it's pretty much found it's home in the wasatch mountains.
the way we are ********ing with karma would make canyonvue blush. It's the RMC you cheeky bastards. The lineup for this obviously heavily depends on the Tuesday match in Costa Rica. With that said, I would wager we see something like this (given the charter flight) -------------------Nicky --Wingert--Watson--Borchers--Mansally -------------------Alvarez ---------Steele---------------Johnson ---------------------Gil -----------Espy-----------Braun Bench: Reynish, Olave, Beltran, Grabs, Beckerman, Javi, Sabo Sabo and Javi need rest, especially since they'll likely be asked to play the full 90 in Tico Land. Johnson is a machine - rest him later Alvarez had a stellar game against these guys before, use it Espy has been getting subbed off lately and I think this is the reason why - I do think he'll be subbed off here again, though Nicky has to start. I wouldn't trust Reynish against a u-8 team Braun should have got minutes against these guys when we won the thing here. Oh well
Sadly with the amount of rotating needed to keep guys fresh and injury free, we likely see Steele. I'd rather we didn't but we can hope for a good 90 from him at some point right?
Keep Steele on the bench and play Seba. The kid played well at the beginning of the season. I'd like to see him get more time.
The management of Velasquez and his time and injury is probably one of the biggest questions of the season on this forum. I trust the coach on this one, he sees more in practice etc. and who am I anyway? Many of us here just feel the team looks and flows better (at least offensively) with Seba on the field. We're seeing a similar love for Alvarez of late...but we also saw a 'blossom of love' for Steele after his first few games, that's since turned into general disdain.
How many fans are going to this one? I guess no bus is going? We have 6 going as this is our annual trip. Should be fun nonetheless.
Unless Denver recently relocated to Costa Rica I'm guessing he's not I wouldn't mind seeing some Velazquez as well but I have a feeling JK is taking it slow with him and trying to not rush him into games. Kind of how Gil was groomed over a few years before he started playing more regularly.
My real question is how Seba's performances became transformed into offensive juggernauts when he was mostly an adequate stop-gap entry.
Too many threads, sorry thought Steve was heading to Costa Rica. Agree somewhat on Valasquez but too throw him too the wolves early and have him not only survive but excell, it seems counterproductive at this point to hold him back. It may be just me but I would like to see Valasquez get the minutes over Steele every day.
Steele has pictures of Seba with JK's wife - I'm convinced. Also, while nobody played well in that USOC debacle, Seba came on and was god awful. Like he was the worst of the worst awful
Steele played awful in his games save the goals. We all said it. Many of the post game comments were "had Steele not scored that winner, I would have been so pissed at him for his play" in essence. The Alvarez love has been around for quite some time, not just recently. He is quality that Kreis seems to want to hide despite there not being an expansion draft to worry about
I agree, he has done well in a pinch before and now maybe the time to give him more of a chance. And 15, everyone in that USOC just sucked rocks, seriously.
Like we used to say way back in the 60' when rock stars were choking to death on their own vomit every other week, "Better living thru chemicals!" I've been referring to the RMC as the Wasatch Mountain Cup the day after we won it the first time 6 years ago. Ergo, it's RSL property, the CRapids only "borrowed" it for two years.
With Pareja apologizing to the whiny fan base for the team's perfomance, it would be nice to smash them in their own house 3-0.
