Does anybody remember if the Carling Cup Final...Liverpool vs. Someonel...was televised last year. It would be a crime against football in US if it was not to be televised. I really want to see how Reyes does if we get to the final.

THe PPV channel doesn't carry it, neither does Fox Sports World. Only bloddy Setanta carry it.

What do you mean? Only Setanta carry it....Even the damn final.

Surely Dish Network and Direct Tv would televise the final on ppv. They have been doing that with the FA Cup (showing setanta covering on ppv for FA Cup).

That was Liverpool 2 - ManU 0 in the Worthless cup final, in case anyone cared to remember.

Direct TV does carry the final on the same PPV channel as its FA CUP coverage. They are both Setanna products, but if your carrier offers the FA Cup, you'll probably get the Carling Final.

Oh please Boro_lad, Arsenal are gonna murder your team on their home sail Tuesday. Lets see, we will have a very good team for you guys on Tuesday.

Reyes will play the whole match and so wil Bentley. We will have Viera and Edu in the middle...our two strongest center midfielders. We will also have Clichy playing on the left mid. Cole will probably stil play defense. We also have a very good young goal keeper in Graham Stack.

We'll destroy you. Reyes and Bentley will get the job done beautifully.

how is that arrogance? he said IF we get to the final. i'm sure you would like to see how southgate and ehiogu do IF you get to the final. it's also funny that arsenal have come this far fielding a team made up mostly of reserves. i wouldn't see anything wrong with them getting knocked out at this round. it would be disappointing, but they still got further than almost every other team who has fielded their strongest XI in order to win this shite trophy

    Offering my services

'Scuse me for being a buttinski here-- but if you guys back home in the USA are still having troubles getting a live broadcast on matchday this week, I'll provide a PbP on an "official thread" or something resembling that.

Here in Australia, the game's on live at 7 a.m. Melbourne time on Fox Sports 1. I'd be more than happy to do a PbP.

Let me know what you think...

I don't think it's a lock that it will be shown. Last season's was since it was ManU and Liverpool, but the final between Sp*rs and Blackburn two years ago wasn't (on PPV or Closed Circuit if I remember correctly) because there wasn't "enough demand" for it. If Arsenal makes the final, there's a decent chance they'd show it IMHO, but if it's Boro & Bolton don't count on it.

That's so cute...thumping your chest over a 1-0 win over the Arsenal reserves...in the Carling Cup...well, that just shows us! Hey, if you win the game on Tuesday, you'll be in the Carling Cup Final! Won't that be fantastic?

Tell you what, we'll send you a card from the knockout stages of the Champions League, unless the Reserves beat the snot out ou you on Tuesday. Then we'll send you a postcard from BOTH the Carling Cup Final AND the Champs League. If you're extra nice we can send you an FA Cup Final programme, as well as an engraved invitation to the Premiership Trophy presentation ceremony...

The guy was asking for broadcast info about the final and said if they make it that he wants to see how Reyes does. You must be really paranoid to be offended by that question.

I'll skip the spelling/grammar error there, but I really don't think he was making plans for the final.

And I'm the most brilliant retard the world has ever known!

spelling is obviously not held very high in the boro. and once again, as you did not answer my question earlier, how was he making plans if he said "IF we make it to the final"? you see, by placing the article "if" in front of the rest of the sentence, he was saying that it could or could not happen. and people still have yet to understand why that is being arrogant?

Exactly. And I'm sure that they would have much rather finished 4th in the league than won this cup. No one thinks about this cup after the day of the final. In the end, ManU fans did not care that they lost the final either (apart from a day of suffering from losing against their rivals) because they won the league.

There's no doubt that your complaining makes no sense. But maybe big words like "if" are too tough to understand.
